It's a nice clean , quiet park not too far from the water. A few problems though... As a CRA member I constantly feel singled out, misjudged, ridiculed & treated like a child at LHR because my kids, husband, and myself are not 55+. We get the stink eye often, not only from staff, but from other members. Our kids are usually quiet & well mannered / respectful, with occasional (rare) hiccups, my kids would return items left behind by others to the office being helpful; We got chewed out about that. Once my kids made friends with non-member kids, my kids were constantly on watch, judged, and slightly complained about. My kid leaned against an "old" water pipe accidentally busting it (we deserved to get chewed out about that but we didn't), after both of those incidents we had targets on our backs, constantly being watched. We got chewed out that our dog pooped on the gravel (we always pick up behind him as soon as we see it), and we were told he can only poo and pee in the dog park. We don't always know when our dog is going to use the restroom. Anyway, we put up with the treatment, being as polite as possible not matter what. We came back to the park for another stay because we prefer the location. We came in after hours of operation after being told by the CRA that we could. Well, doing so , resulted in me getting a very loud banging on my door and the manager addressing me sternly by my first name and then proceeding to" yell" at me for 5 minutes. I certainly do not appreciate that and I certainly do not feel like a valued member. I ESPECIALLY do not deserve to be treated like a child just because we checked in after 8:30pm before noise ordinance (10pm). Other than those problems, this park isn't exactly kid friendly. The only amenities for children is the pool. If they go into the clubhouse to play a game of pool on the table it's usually disturbing the 55+ that are playing cards or something. Oh I almost forgot to mention... as far as I'm understood, people who are not members do stay at the park (they pay of course) , BUT one of the managers once told me after she threw back a few beers that "she" cannot stand that there are non-members staying at the park. I like this park, I'm upset with management. We try very hard to follow their rules, but it doesn't matter what we do. Good luck if you're under the age of 55 and stay at LHR.

This is a Great place to stay. Even though it is not directly on the water it is in a great location. It is not on the water, therefore no place to launch a boat but just down the road (paved road) is the state Park where there are 5 paved boat ramps. Very Convenient. The resort has lost of spaces with full hook-ups. They even have communal restrooms and showers right next to the pool and even a Recreation room will pool tables. My family we went to the pool many times during our stay and spoke with the people who take care of the place, very nice people. During our stay we were able to rent a trailer that was on the property for reasonable price. A very nice 26foot trailer sleeps 6-8. A queen bed in the front and a set of bunk beds in the back along with the table and couch fold to beds. Amazing stay.

We love this rv resort. We are able to walk out into the desert with our dogs. It's close enough to all Lake Havasu activities for us. There's lots of friendly camaraderie around the park.
