Could have been the worst experience we ever had. But Lee and night desk gentleman came to the rescue.  For those people not aware of this ultimate Spring Break venue, do not book in March through Easter on the resort side for a beautiful sunset view over the pools. 25 years ago it would have been ideal, but for older patrons looking for a good night sleep, make sure you are on the opposite side of hotel. Jenny at The Martini Bar was stellar and we greatly appreciated being able to move to a quieter room at 11:00 PM after the music rattled the windows and vibrated the floor! Will definitely be back, but maybe not in March.

The resort has a lot to offer, nice bar, pools, other activities. Clean surroundings inside & out. Great views of the Bridgewater Channel from hotel & outside activities. The rooms need to be renovated & the lighting needs to be improved as it was very difficult to see in the bedrooms and kitchen area. Splash is where you have a complimentary breakfast which they offer a lot to choose from although it was same food offered every day,  friendly staff. The staff throughout the hotel are friendly & helpful. The only reason we gave it a 3 star was the rooms need to be renovated otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.

I think our experience might not be typical.  We dropped in at 8:30pm for a couple of appetizers.  The dining area was almost empty, but the bar had several customers who appeared to have been there quite a while.  It took a long time for a waitress to appear.  When she did, she was very pleasant, & apologized for the wait.  The food was good, but a bit pricey.

I would like to say the resort guest coordinator handled a situation which could have been blown off very easily. 

This shows, to me, the resort takes great pride in making sure they have a great place to stay and are willing to work with guests.

Good place to stay, friendly helpful staff, lots of activities, gift shops by the water, and lots to do along the canal. Only advice is stay away during spring break unless you're into partying.
