Excellent place to ski! The trails are well groomed for both skate and classic (tracked) skiing. The train is fairly easy with nothing too hilly. The steeper hills have bypasses so you can avoid them. Trail passes on the weekends (Friday-Sunday) are only $10. Inside the conversion is now than enough room to spread out all your gear. There is also a do-it-yourself waxing station. Homemade soups are available for lunch, along with various drinks, chips, and hot beverages. All the food is good and very cheap. The trails are part of Laurel Ridge State Park and seem to have fairly consistent snow. They meander through wooded areas, so the wind is minimal. The drive in is also not difficult, and only takes about an hour from Morgantown. I would recommend going here if you are a beginner, as the trails are easy. It's a great place if you are more experienced, as well.

Awesome place for cross country and skate skiing. Adults are $10, but it's worth it as they groom and maintain the trails. The trails are wide and mostly flat, so it's great for beginners. Outer loops increase the distance and difficulty for those with more experience. Rentals are available at the warming hut too.

Great Outdoors area. Many examples of local wildlife. I've seen Deer, Bears, porcupines, possum's, and one time I spotted a Bobcat. Amazing tranquility and BEAUTY. Enjoy.
