Story

Colorist Laurie Nicole Talbott has a personalized approach to hair color. Her unique talent has led her to work as a colorist for over ten years at some of the most high profile salons in NYC. After graduating high school, Laurie moved to NYC to complete cosmetology school where she immediately worked and trained under today’s most prestigious colorists. Her artistic and detail-oriented eye got her snapped up by the famous Louis Licari Salon on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue (seen on NBC’s Today Show’s Ambush Makeover), where she had the opportunity to work under the expert guidance of Kathy Galotti and Louis Licari himself. In 2007, Laurie joined Sharon Dorram’s color team and assisted in the opening of one of the Upper East Side’s most renowned salons: Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger on Madison Avenue. Laurie is known for her natural-looking hair color. She is the go-to colorist for her signature beachy-blondes and caramel-highlighted brunettes: “I always analyze my client’s base color first, creating color accordingly. It is most flattering to stay within a few shades of someone’s natural hair color.” Her long list of clientele includes celebrities, CEOs, socialites, and more. Laurie specializes in corrective coloring, as well as maintaining the health of one’s hair. Laurie is thrilled to return to her native Charlottesville, bringing her mastery home to beautiful Virginia!
