Top notch maintenance staff. Quick to arrive and work is very professional. Office staff very down to earth. Staff makes you feel at home. Next best thing beside home ownership. The goat 🐐 restaurant is excellent, I just wish they opened earlier during the week.

I moved into the LC in 2015 after accepting a job in Columbus,Ohio. When considering apartments, I was sold on the LC because of the many amenities such as: an on-site restaurant/ bar, on-site gym, free fitness classes throughout the week, and the opportunity to meet people since I was new to the city (and state for that matter). Though my experiences with the LC were mostly positive, there are a few things I feel the apartment company should consider: 1.) Communication Between Employees - When moving out, we spoke with 3-4 employees at the leasing office regarding the move-out process and pending payments. There was not clear communication between the individuals. One employee told us the company over-charged us, the next would say we had a balance. 2.) Maintenance/ Landscaping - This complex has many residents with dogs ( big and small).Though there are plenty dog waste disposal bins located throughout the complex, the pet owners still refuse to pick up the their dog poop [feces]. On plenty occasions, I've dodged poop on/ near the side-walk, in-haled the dreadful smell of piss [urine]/ poop/both during runs in the summer and winter months around the complex, and unfortunately stepped in the waste. I would recommend the complex consider enforcing another policy regarding this issue. 3.) Parking - Recommending assigned parking (at least 2 spaces per unit/ or 1 space per resident). I would also recommend guest parking and motorcycle parking. There were many occasions I came home and could not find a place to park near my apartment. I've seen people block fire hydrants and motorcycles take up spaces. There were also occasions where vehicles have been parked in unmarked parking areas, which really brings the value of the complex down. 4.) Electric/ Utility fees - There are so many issues here (see other reviews) 5. Communication with Resident(s) - I transferred my lease to another unit within the apartment complex, as well as added my fiance to my lease (who created his own account and paid a separate application and security deposit). However, if ever l would miss a call from them regarding our account - instead of calling my fiance (who's on the account) they would call my emergency contact (my mother - who was not a co-signer) to have the questions answered.

Same as New Albany in that the unit and community are great. That's about where it ends. Maintenance issues were never resolved quickly, and Lifestyle Communities continues their partnership with the highly questionable, rent-seeking and price jacking company that is Nationwide Energy Partners. I had a 2 bedroom townhome, and my electric bill was continuously round $375/mo. Compare that to owning a home, or any company that is smart enough to not cooperate with NEP, and you're paying about 3 times the market average.

I have tried to play nice, but now I’m at the place where I just have to publicly state the many issues I have had. Between the issue with my thermostat breaking and my electric bill being 600 dollars at one point , to now the leasing office trying to prevent me from moving , to hearing my neighbors talking and their television ... I’m pissed! I’ve called corporate , emailed , no response!! So unprofessional. The only reason I wanted to move was because I needed more space. The leasing agent I’m working with to move called to get rental history and they won’t even provide it , but yet you can claim that I was late but not even provide the reason why.... I have everything in email as to why it was late ..... your manager Marci approved it because of an error on your behalf. like I’m really considering getting a lawyer.

I really like living here. Good location that is close to everything, well-kept lawns and just clean overall. I love the pools, but they get exceedingly busy on the weekends, to the point that you can't find a chair after 11am. The gym is great. Contrary to what I read in other reviews, our utilities were pretty reasonable (~$140 per month total). Just don't have your AC at 65 degrees and you'll be fine. My only real complaint is the outdoor music, as we live relatively close to the pools and they blast loud hip hop until 11pm+ every night, and we can definitely hear it as we're trying to sleep. Considering the cost of rent, you'd think they understand that working professionals live here, and working professionals generally like to sleep. It's not the end of the world, but it's so easily fixable that it becomes annoying. Just turn down the volume a little after 10pm, problem solved. But the staff is otherwise nice and helpful, and the atmosphere of younger folks is really great. Would highly recommend if you can find a place out of earshot of the pools.
