We went to Elephante for my mom’s birthday brunch and we were very impressed with the decor and ambience of this place.  You have the choice of sitting in 2 dining areas Garden or Sunset and we chose to sit in the Sunset area which provided ocean views.  We ordered the whipped eggplant appetizer with bread which was really tasty along with some pizza and pastas.  The drinks here are great as well.  My only complaint is that the bathroom system could be a bit nicer, but the rest of the restaurant makes up for this.  If you want a fun and vibrant restaurant, then I highly recommend going here for a great brunch experience!

Elephante is possibly one of my favorite Santa Monica restaurant gems. The ambiance, interior decor, food+wine selection and quality paired when the view are one of a kind. The food is excellent quality and portion sizes are perfect. And of course the menu is accompanied by an incredible wine and drink list as well. We went here for my friend’s birthday we’re pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the prices were. I will absolutely be back here often!

Beautiful place to relax. One of the best cafes I’ve experienced with great view and scenery. Waitstaff was friendly and outgoing. Food was excellent. Calamari , broccoli was fantastic. Pasta was good too. Good to have friends over for a chill. I would go back again when I have the time

This place was incredible. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was stunning. It was a little busy, so our server Anthony took a minute to check on us, which was understandable given the circumstances. It was a plus that their kitchen was open until 12 a.m. I definitely recommend checking them out!

Cool vibe, great food. We sat in the sunset room and it was a great experience. The pizza was definitely worth it, some of the best I've had on the west side. Also the house made pasta was al dente and flavorful. One note - get the chili oil and put it on everything. It's so good.

We came for lunch and participated in the $35 special—it was great! We got to try the pasta and the pizza, as well as the tasty apps and dessert. We also dined with a young child and her meal the pasta was also yummy.  There weren’t any drink specials but everything else I mean, have you seen the view? was great!

The service was phenomenal, I don’t think i’ve ever went to a restaurant with nicer servers. The food was ten out of ten. I recommend the grilled octopus oh my god it was so good and the truffle pasta was worth every penny. It tasted so good, nothing we tasted was bad and the service just makes going to this restaurant a good time. If you’re ever in Santa Monica you should definitely check this place out!

Thursday at noonish we were seated immediately but weren't that happy with our table.  An employee noticed my unhappiness and immediately went and secured us a better table right at the window.  The tables on the balcony would be great at sunset but the sun was too bright at noon.  The whipped eggplant and puffy bread is fantastic and the bread was great with our salad,  diver scallops and branzino.  The service was friendly and helpful,  the food was delicious and the decor and ambiance were unique and fun.  Not cheap but worth the splurge and I look forward to returning!

Yes, it’s worth it. Book well in advance if you want a great table! We booked the sunset room and requested a table by the balcony and it was accommodated. The whipped eggplant is an absolute must, although everything our party had was shared and it all was incredible. Pictured is the vodka sauce pasta - I still think about it, so delicious. Service was quick and our server was super helpful and sweet with recommendations. Pricy, yes, but for a special occasion absolutely worth it. Can’t wait to return!

Read other peoples reviews. It’s already hard enough to have almost 4.5 stars in Santa Monica. There’s a reason they do.  Look at my food photos, sit in the sunset room, ask for Jordan to serve you. Enjoy.
