Honestly kinda disappointed with the $10 gelato. Yeah the little cafe and it’s outdoor seating is adorable and very ‘Instagram aesthetic’ but the Nutella gelato was just about ok The other food in the display looked incredibly amazingly good. Especially the baked goods, sandwiches and cakes but I didn’t order any of them They don’t let you taste test, which is fine. But the gelato is so expensive : and they also only sell bottled water which is also stupid expensive Feels like you’re paying just to be able to sit there and watch the Santa Monica crowd
3 stars for the prices and 4 stars for the pastries/coffee. Very touristy place, excellent location and that’s pretty much all to it.
Terrible food and customer service. I ordered the Caprese, which looked on the menu like a fresh tomato-mozzarella with pesto sandwich. I got a grilled sandwich that had no pesto – just two leaves of basil. The server took it back and angrily trashed it. She offered me a new sandwich, so I asked her, if I could have it not grilled. She gave me a cold sandwich bread was partly frozen and very stale, the cheese was hard and cold. It seems like their food is not fresh at all. They grill their sandwiches because they are frozen and prepared with cheap stale ingredients. 14.50$ for a sandwich that I had to throw away. Avoid at all costs.
Late post: the lasagna was good. Almost dry, so bad if you're into swimming in sauce. Wouldn't be my pick for heavy lunch, but a good option for something light, quick, and much better than fast food. Also, faster than a typical sit-down resto. My experience was also good. The staff were great.
Good ice cream, good affogato, and really good sfogliatelle pastries. Although most of the staff were friendly the ordering and delivery process was chaotic and detracted from the experience. The prices were generally high understandable for the area and only selling tiny bottled water bottles a bit disappointing, especially since the cafe has no recycling.
Quite literally the most disgusting food we have ever eaten. Inedible. We threw it all in the trash. They sold us a lobstertail heated up?? This is not how a cream filled pastry should be served. Also the staff are incredibly rude. Don’t come here unless you want to throw your money in the trash.
Nice small italian cafe in the promenade. The desserts look scrumptious, we had the pumpkin pie, and it's highly recommended.Food: 5/5
Small place. We’d hot chocolate, it was good. Staff were friendly, seems they got nice collection of desserts but didn’t try them.Takeout: Yes
I don’t normally write reviews unless they are really warranted. Food is awful and overpriced. Staff is cold and unenthused, you can even see on other reviews instead of being concerned about the customer they are defensive and righteous, not how the service industry operates. Terrible atmosphere. do NOT recommend anybody goes here, food is god awful.
This place is not good. Food is vastly overpriced for the mediocre quality you’re getting. Rude staff doesn’t help the experience and small portions solidify this restaurant in my never-go-back-again territory.
