Story

Lincoln Jewelry Company, a Lincoln's Choice Awards nominee, is owned and operated by Grand Island native, Dick Proffitt (a graduate of G.I.A.). He’s been in the jewelry business for 25 years; 22 years of it at the same location he is at now on 14th street in downtown Lincoln, Neb. He’s married to, Margaret, and has a 14 year-old son. Proffitt has been a Lincoln resident since 1976 and is glad to call the capital city his home.

He’s known around town for his custom work with gold, platinum, color gemstones and high quality diamonds. You won’t find cookie-cutter designs in his store, but instead beautiful works of art, many of which were created by Proffitt himself. He also buys gold, so if you have any lying around, now is the time to see what you can get for it.

Proffitt’s way of doing business is that he values high customer service and high quality. He wants the customer to feel at home in his store. The minute you walk into the front door of the shop, you’re greeted with a friendly person, be it Proffitt or one of his associates and you feel welcomed and ready to look around.
