What started out as Louie's Pizza, has turned into a family owned restaurant that has been in the Patterson family for about 48 years. Billy and Tony now run the place, and not much on the menu has changed. 

Signature dishes are lasagna, poor man's lobster, all-you-can-eat-fried-chicken Sundays, Angel on Horseback, Devil on Horseback (you won't be disappointed-- the french bread with Italian beef {or without), topped with tomato, provolone cheese and bacon bits. Their salads are excellent including the Chicken Caesar and the Antipasto Salad. The bomber sandwich (Italian Sausage with secret marinara sauce served on french bread with peppers) and the Meatball Sandwich are top notch. 

The freshly made bread sticks are worth the trip served with all entrees.

There are only six Italian dishes and they are all top notch. They are spaghetti, mostaccioli and ravioli with your choice of meat or red sauces, plus lasagna and chicken parmigiana and veal parmigiana which is my favorite.

The fried perch sandwich is very good. They also have a french fried shrimp plate, and a fresh walleye plate.

They have several choices of sandwiches and wrap, plus ribs, buckets of chicken to go, and plus several salads with homemade dressings made daily. Their thousand island is the best I have ever had, and their Greek house dressing is exceptional.

Great pizza, but that's not all. They've got sandwiches and hot bread sticks that come out first are absolutely wonderful. On Sunday they have all-you-can-eat Fried Chicken that is just excellent. They also have a bar and a separate dining room for family.

The food and service were spectacular! You definitely get plenty of food for your money. This place is so cozy. Would definitely go back.

We stumbled on Louise's while living in Waukegan, IL. What we found was a spot worthy of being on Guys Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! Legit! Their entire dinner menu was made from scratch, and servings are massive. The server we had was very sweet, and spot on! We had an Italian dish and a dish with a fillet of Walleye, which was lightly breaded with a delicious homemade batter. Seriously though, im getting hold of Guys producer's and lettimg them know about this unsuspecting dive.

Sunday night all you can eat chicken...you can't go wrong...try the full slab of ribs... The Anna pasta salad.... To much food ? They do a awesome Reuben sandwich... Trust me they have a great pasta menu and much more. Nice bar. Dine in or take out.  And don't forget the bread.... Trust me this place is a local place to eat. From casual to the office crowd. Don't be surprised if you run into one of our local politicians. You just can't wrong at Louie's
