Checking in couldn't have been easier with the help of the amazing staff. The room was nice and clean. I got a two queen bed room and the beds were a little close together but it was fine we weren't planning on staying in the room. We were able to see the ocean from our room, Wich was beautiful! This place isn't too far from the aquarium. It took me about 15 minutes to walk there on a beautiful trail along the beach. I would stay here again!

Perfect! Deserves much higher rating! Ocean facing balcony, unbelievable location and view, an absolutely lovely room, CLEAN, beautiful linens and INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE BEDS...far more comfortable than the Hilton we stayed at previously. And, if that wasn't enough - which it surely was- Leslie at the front desk was wonderful. Super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, she was a gem. I almost overlooked this place because the photos listed do it no justice but what a find! So pleased with our stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great stay but isn't looking for brand new luxury spa type property.

Great views from all rooms!  Affordable place to stay and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings.  It is located in an amazing location. The rooms are Functional Obsolescence hence the price, however clean and comfortable.  A little snug perhaps but considering the location, it may be worth the slightly cramped conditions.  
There is an elevator so you don't have to carry all your luggage up stairs. 
 Also walking distance to shops and restaurants.  They serve breakfast in the lobby. You may or may not want to eat it.  It's free so what can you expect?   I would recommend trying it if you are trying to save money and still enjoy traveling to new places.   It all about location location location!

The room is way too small for the value even with a balcony. The balcony has bird poop all over the place which is really disgusting. Moreover, the worst is that the bed sheet has stains on it. And their breakfast sucks with only outdoor seating. This is the worst stay I have had in my 2 weeks time in the West Coast. I am not sure how the other rooms look like but definitely avoid the rooms with balcony. It is not worth it!! One last thing, their elevator sounded like it's going to break apart soon. Take the stairs if I were you.

This hotel is only a short drive from the aquarium and lots of other fun places in Monterey. I like the friendliness of the staff and the view from our second floor room. There is a pretty park across the street as well. This isn't a fancy hotel by any means but it was clean ,close to things and had a great price. We would definitely stay again.
