Lowe's is my go to for all things hardware and most common lumber needs. They have good service and an excellent return policy. Many of the employees have been there quite some time and are very knowledgeable. They are there to help.

I bought a grill on sale online and selected the free assembly option. The checkout indicated the item would be ready for pickup same day and that I would receive a phone call when the order was ready. Needless to say, I never received a call that day or the next day, so I called and was told they were "putting the grill together in the back." When I asked for an estimate for pickup on an item that should have been ready the day before, I was told there was "no ETA." I didn't get a call about my order that day or the next day. So, my husband and I go to the store in person and ask to pick up our order that we still had not received a pickup call about. On the way in the front door, we walk by a display featuring several assembled grills in the exact model we had purchased online. The worker at the customer service desk tells us the order is ready and brings it up front for us from the back. We go to the vehicle to load up the grill and realize it is covered in spider webs and has rust and scratches. But we couldn't pick it up 3 days ago because the workers were putting it together? Um, no. Someone grabbed one of the assembled ones that had been sitting outside for who knows how long, and for some reason, it took 3 days to do that much. To top it off, the grill wouldn't fit in our vehicle with the shelves, so my husband needed a screwdriver to remove the shelf on one side to be able to load the grill into our vehicle. After spending hundreds of dollars in the store, we had to purchase a screwdriver to use. Unbelievable. 1. Have the order ready for pickup on time. 2. Don't lie when a customer calls to ask about an order. 3. CALL the customer when the order is ready.

I asked a lady at customer service if they had a certain toolset. She told me they did not, but that another store had two. I drove over there and found out they did not have any. What a waste of gas and time. I think I'll stick with Home Depot.

The North Parkway Lowes is much better, this one is jyst OK
