I went shopping for a nice dishwasher with my fiance a few nights ago. Walked into this store's appliance department and another employee was helping another customer. I got brusquely greeted and then ignored for the next 15-20 minutes. No other person would approach us, no one else would give us eye contact. I left the store and came back half hour later to work with an employee I talked to on the phone about the dishwasher. The manager was friendly and accommodating towards our sale but when I talked to him about what occurred to me in the appliance department he just shrugged and didn't say anything. He said that for our dishwasher install I would receive a phone call in 24-48 hours and haven't received a phone call after 72. Calling the store doesn't help because you'll just be put on hold for over 20 minutes if you try to reach back in the appliance department. I got better service in the first five minutes that I walked into the appliance department next door at Best Buy than dealing with Lowes. I'd rather spend a little bit more money and get better service than deal with the headache this store seems to be. edit: So I figured I'd update with more scathing review because everything that could go wrong in setting up install has. I was supposed to receive a call from the installer for setting up a site detail visit - never received a call. I was supposed to receive a call for my scheduled install - never received a call. I have to call this store every single time something doesn't happen in a timely manner when THEY SAY IT SHOULD. I should be getting paid for all the extra follow-up work I have to do in order to get a dishwasher installed. Don't shop at this Lowe's unless you can pick the item up in your hand and purchase it. Don't give yourself the headache of having to go above and beyond for what should be considered normal customer service.

This store has a local "feel" to it. Besides knowing someone who works there I am there so much as to be on a first name basis with many of the people who work there. In short, it is staffed by good and knowledgeable folks who were tradesman prior to working at Lowe's. Can't say if that's the case else where but it is here.

worst experience at any home improvement store ever. went in to get 1!!!! gallon of paint. waited at paint counter for 10 minutes with no one standing there or around the area. employees constantly passing me, not saying anything. went to ask for some help, they radioed and said they needed someone over in paint and told me someone would be right with me. no one ever showed up after 15 more minutes of waiting i finally had to catch an employee walking past and begged for him to help me. THEN i go to pay for the paint, i was the next person in line and the person working the cash register TURNED THE LIGHT OFF AND WALKED AWAY WITHOUT SAYING ONE WORD, never at any point of me being in the line did she say she was closed or that i needed to go to another line. went to self checkout. i will never give my business to this place ever again.

Very helpful store, with almost anything either in stock or able to be ordered online. The shining star of the store is the garden center/nursery staff- they do an amazing job. The plant selection is always top notch.

Depending on what you want this is a good place to go. They have a decent appliance selection and decent delivery and set up for basic appliances. Their power tool selection tends to be a little more higher end than home depot, but their saw blade selection sucks. In some places they area more expensive than home depot, but they are a lot more flexible and have better sales. I just bought a washer and dryer from them that was cheaper than home depot and used a 10% coupon. Home depot would either price match or take the coupon, but not both. I also tend to have decent success finding people they know what they are taking about here.
