Since our founding in 1960 by Theodore “Ted” Tobias Mappus, II our goal has been to help educate and shed light on personal lines and professional business insurance to local families and businesses of Charleston, Mount Pleasant and other surrounding areas of the Lowcountry. With the proper knowledge, education and advocacy then you, the consumer, are equipped to make smart decisions when it comes to selecting your home, auto, umbrella or professional business insurance.

Unlike our competition, we are not in the business of “quoting” insurance and hoping we are the cheapest. Sure, we look for lower premiums but we are in the business of advising and educating individuals, families and businesses of the Lowcountry with their insurance risks and needs.
