My friends have dragged me to Martha’s on several occasions and no matter how much I want to like the place I’m let down every single time.

The desserts look better than they taste and are very inconsistent. From undercooked muffins to half thawed bread pudding I’ve seen it all. I’ve had better desserts at a children’s birthday party.

At least the staff are friendly.

Although the ambiance is close to those expensive faux-bourgeois pastry shops, the quality of their passion fruit chocolate mousse makes it more than worth it. It is a wonderful white chocolate-covered mousse, perhaps the chocolate is a millimeter too thick, but the passion fruit filling is wonderfully textured and leaves little to be desired. The service was alright.

Red Velvet is the Bomb! And for milk chocolate lovers, try the BIG cookie! Melts in your mouth! Service is great too! Everyone super friendly.

Delicious pastries, large variety, friendly staff and cheap but good coffee. Great place for a Sunday coffee and pastry!

They have great pastries and a wonderful morning pastry and coffee deal ($2.5), but the service is not very good.
