My hubby took me here for dinner and wasn't really turned on with the menu. I guess if you like eating bone marrow and animal thyroid for appetizers, this might be your spot. But for me, I am more of authentic American woman that likes home cooking or more fine dining establishments. I will give it a 2, since the atmosphere is retro, but it would only be a 1 for the food.

Good food and cocktails. Their bone marrow was good, but a bit too oily for me. We also ordered the fried chicken liver, which tasted fine, the pig's ears, which I didn't try but my friends like it. For main, we had steak, salmon and duck. Salmon was really good, tender and fresh. It conbines well with the black rich . However, the sauce and the veggies were a bit salty for me. The service and the atmosphere was great. A good 4 star restaurant overall that worth a try.

I've been here a handful of times. Each time is better than the last. The food is tremendous and very filling. Lots of different meat options. It's very entertaining watching the extremely ambidextrous bartenders mixing drinks. They do it with a lot of flare. They are not shy about their prices but I think it's worth it.

My husband and I recently came here on a weeknight for a date. We had been here before, and knew the food was pretty good and the drinks are yummy (not OMG exceptional, but satisfying) The kind hostess was able to accommodate us walking in without a reservation after just 15 minutes, which was great. But then... We were seated amongst at least 5 empty tables. It took 15 minutes to get water, from the hostess that noticed we hadn't been greeted by our server yet. We sat for another 15 minutes... and left. We had never walked out on a place before this, as we are both in the industry and understand sometimes servers get in the weeds. But goodness gracious, the section was empty and there looked to be ample staff on hand for the amount of patrons in the restaurant.

I went here for brunch with my girlfriend on a recommendation from a friend. It was amazing. We got chicken and waffles (which was a huge portion and delicious,) french toast, a side of fries, bacon (don't bother getting this, $4 for 4 slices,) then a bloody Mary all for under $50. Definitely make a reservation because you may not get a table otherwise. Also I forewarn you it's close quarters with the seating arrangement. Honestly it was one of the better breakfasts I've had in Pittsburgh so far and I'm already going back in a couple weeks!
