Just tried this place and holy goodness! Walk in and you are created with the wonderful smell of the wood fire oven. It is quiet as well, a little dark but the lighting in there is perfect. Our waiter was great. We never had to ask for refills or to clean off our table. The pizza was absolutely superb! So happy we tried this place

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. I've tried nearly all their pizzas over about 15 visits, with my favorites being the Bianca and the Ocean, but you really can't go wrong. As someone who usually eats pizza crusts out of a sense of obligation, Proper's crust is one that is actually delicious. Definitely also try the bacon candy! A few of my friends who usually dislike bacon fell in love with it. Beware long wait times, and the fact that you have to be physically present when you they call your name. Last time I went, Google estimated "not busy," but the wait ended up being 1 hour for two people. (Still worth it, in my opinion.)

A friend and I went here and had such a great time! It was FREEZING outside and we needed a quick dinner before a show. The wait was over 30 minutes but were offered to sit at the bar. It worked perfectly because we got to sit by the fire and watch them make pizza! Everything is fresh and made by hand. We split a pizza and an appetizer and they were both delicious! The pizza is wood-fired and has such great flavor. The couple next to us got pasta and it looked amazing. I would definitely return.

This is a cozy unpretentious restaurant in downtown with other options besides pizza on the menu. I've only ever tried the pizzas though because they are so good. I've tried a different one every time as has my husband, and we've been very happy. Their cocktails are unique and delicious too, and my husband likes their beer selection. And the service is always prompt. Since my husband is a meatatarian and I'm a vegetarian, we often have trouble both being satisfied when we go out to eat. But this place has many options for everyone!

The food is tasty, but the portions are off. My dinner (smoked brisket and mac) was small. The dessert was as big as my dinner. Service from Joel was great, but I would have preferred a bigger dinner for the cost.
