It is an amazing place to eat. I love the atmosphere. Beautiful decor and beautiful, nice people. I was a out of towner stuck but they cheered me up, and gave me food that needed nothing added. Thank you all who worked 9/30/17 at 8 am. You all are the best.

We were in Pittsburgh for the evening and decided to dine at The Commoner and we were not disappointed!  The cocktails and wine were amazing as was the food.  I liked that the menu varied -- personally, I sampled the Crab and Corn Fritters, the Half Chicken, and the Buffalo Cottage Pie.  The ambiance and decor were fabulous -- I loved the burnished mirror with a historical map of Pittsburgh overlay. The lighting and low-noise level make it a great spot for date night or a catch-up dinner with friends. Would definitely go back!

Great Bloody Mary Bar.  Very nice downtown brunch spot.  We got lucky because we were early and no reservation.  The place gets packed quickly.  The brunch menu is awesome.  Having bacon in the Bloody is awesome.  Forget about street parking but plenty of parking garages nearby.

Sadly disappointed. I had high expectations for this place, and the menu encouraged me to expect good things. We should have taken our cues from the waiter who failed to say anything good about the two or three dishes we asked about. In the end, my food came out cold (lamb stew, chunks were refrigerator cold), and none of the other dishes at the table drew any excitement. It's a great location and a menu with real potential. Someone needs to take control of the place and make it work.

Friends and I went before a show. Everyone loved their dishes. We had a pork dish, a chicken dish and a steak dish as well as cocktails. The restaurant is lovely. Our waiter was knowledgeable and pleasant. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere.
