Story

Featuring American comfort dishes prepared uncompromisingly well with fresh, sustainable and healthy ingredients. The Grill is comfortable and cordial, yet sophisticated, matching the theme of the food and service. The intimate dining room features dark oak floors, natural light from the large windows, leather banquettes and club chairs, and the lively bar area features a brick fireplace and cozy atmosphere.

The Grill is located at the Stanford Park Hotel (100 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, CA) and is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night drinks, snacks and desserts– one of the only local restaurants to offer late night dining. Parking is convenient, plentiful and free.

I have eaten here a couple times and also just come in for drinks as well. I usually stay in the hotel when visiting Palo Alto. The bartenders are great, they make a good range of cocktails and have a respectable wine list. I have enjoyed the food I have had there, last time I had the filet and really enjoyed it. The services has always been impeccable.

We had breakfast here and the service and coffee were good but everything else was way below average. I highly recommend getting breakfast anywhere else.

Goes through good and bad spells, as a hotel restaurant, and right now seems like on of the clan times. Nothing bad about it.

Nice and quiet. Nice bathroom with cloth towels. Easy access to Stanford University. Free parking. Reservations are accepted for breakfast too.

Took my fiance here for her 30th birthday (and long overdue review). Short version, absolutely recommend! Long version: It was a nearly empty Thursday night, and I already knew it was going to be a perfect night! The restaurant is elegant (to me). I'm no fine dining, French Laundry enthusiast, smugly rich kind of guy. The lighting was perfectly between bright and romantically dim. Very clean and tables are spaced out nicely! The staff is super nice, accommodating, yet not overbearing. My fiance and I barely ever noticed that our waters or glasses of wine were filled, which truly made us feel separated from the world, yet served. Kudos to the serving/front staff! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the special lamb chops and she had the filet. We paired our meal with a cabernet that went excellently with the food. We still talk about the meal over a month later. In fact, we want to go back to try the Tuesday night fried chicken! We cannot wait till we can!
