This University Avenue location is excellent. The East Washington location did a terrible job the first time and it will be the last time I ever go. Park Street Mister was good for awhile when I took company cars there on account because East Washington turned me off but then attitudes at Park Street declined sharply. I don't understand... all I did was show up, get a car washed, tip and leave. I go to University Avenue now and things seem to be consistent there. Perhaps other people have had or will have different experiences than mine if they go to the East Washington or Park Street locations. Don't write 'em off based on my review.

I had a feeling when octopus sold that this would go downhil quickly l and it absolutely has. I’ve been there twice since then, both times something was completely missed. The first time they forgot to wipe the spray off my back inside window and the second time they may as well have not been inside the car at all. The attention to detail is absolutely awful and the price is considerably higher without the option to rewash after a rainstorm or get any discounts for loyalty. I went to a self wash and my car looked better than leaving their “car wash”. You’re better off going pretty much anywhere else. Really.

They do a great job cleaning the interior and exterior and would have given them a 4 star rating.   My  concern is that the tips do NOT go 100% to the people working on your car!

I️ have been coming to this location for over 25 years when it was Octopus Car wash. They were always extremely good, very busy with good service prices and coupons. Now that they have changed to Mr Car Wash they are the worst full service car wash in Madison. They are extremely slow, their prices have gone up and they don’t accept coupons. They are barely busy at all. Today the guy outside asking what kind of wash you want is also the cashier because they can’t hire enough help. I️ wanted to get my car detailed but it was going to take at least an hour to get it in because there was only one detailer, there used to be four. After sitting here and listening to other people complain  I witnessed a lady tried to buy two reading cards but the employee that she had to track down couldn’t even bring them up because he didn’t know how to use the cash register. In addition one other person while I was there and their keys locked in their car by the employees and it took a half hour for a locksmith to come and unlock their vehicle for them. They said that they would never come back. It’s a shame this used to be a good business. This was my last trip to Mr. car wash

Less than honorable business practices. It seems that they have a line of budget options that I happened to stumble upon once when a good employee mentioned them. Last 2 times I've been there, the guy showed me the book of options, but he had the page with the budget options folded back so I couldn't see them. When presenting the options, he stopped talking after presenting the expensive options. Unless I knew about them already, I would buy servies I didn't want!! I had to ask about other options, and he was forced to admit there were other choices. He wouldn't even turn the page over unless I asked him to. Unless I already KNEW about the other options I would never have thought to ask. They must get a kickback on sales or something. Who knows how many times I've paid for service I didn't want when there were cheaper options available?! If you get an old guy with librarian glasses, don't trust him (well, I make it a policy not to trust anyone [smiles face]).
