Story

Located at the site of the last Toll Gate in Vermont overlooking the beautiful, ever-changing Bromley Brook. Offering the finest fresh ingredients, exquisitely prepared and presented, graciously served. Featuring an extensive wine list which has received Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence since 1994. Chef-Owned and operated since 1988 by Best Chef of America Dana & his wife Cheryl Markey.

This place is nothing short of five stars! The food was exceptional. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is beautiful and serene; we enjoyed listening to the brook outside the open window. Don't let naysayers dissuade you. It is a fantastic place to enjoy a delicious and special dinner.

What a romantic place to dine. The food was simply amazing. The service was exceptional. I would highly recommend.

On 8/17/17 Five of us enjoyed a nice meal at your restaurant. The server was very friendly and conscientious but a higher caliber of staff is expected for the pricing. There were 4 other tables being occupied for our entire stay. Many tables remained empty yet a couple who entered the restaurant with us was curtly turned away by the hostess. They were told there were no openings when in fact this was not true. They were sent away and we remained disturbed by the cold (and dishonest) treatment they received. We will not return as a result.

Excellent French food in a comfortable, comfortable atmosphere, very good service. We'll be back now that we've found this place.
