I am a stranger in Cartersville andcsaw this place. I went in I felt like someone who passed gas. The crowd was hometown and noisy. Ok. No problem. It took around 15 to 20 minutes before someone finally came to my table. Ok. I ordered my coca cola and another 10 minutes passed before I got my drink. Ok. No problem. It took about 5 more minutes and they brought me a menu. I ordered 6 BBQ wings. I know I waited 20 minutes before one of the two staff brought them out. The wings were terrible. They didn't have any BBQ flavor and were dry. I never saw another waitress until I had to get their attention for my tab. No one checked if I needed a refill or if my food was good. I got a tab a few minutes later and was ignored. I went to the bar to pay my bill and felt robbed to leave them a tip. Hah. I will not go back. The place had a slight odor of backed up sewage. Lesson lesrned.
Modern eggs Benedict is wonderful. The wait staff is always on top of your drinks and making sure you are taken care of. Jamie and Farrin are the best.
Sabrina is the best! Wings are fire, Philly is great! Drinks are on point and she provides the best service you can get from anywhere period.
Kristen and Sabrina at the bar were awesome! Finished a long week of traveling basketball and needed a local spot to take the edge off. Wings were super too. If your stopping through or need that local joint feeling, this is the place!
Started out great but apparently they are very short staffed. Food was good and server was great until it came time for us to leave. Took over 20 mins to get check to pay. Would be 5 stars if you hire more help and help.out the good employees you have.

We recently moved to the area, we had buffalo nachos, fried pickles, sweet potato fries, calzone, hot wings, and philly cheesesteak which were all amazing. We will be back.Food: 5/5
Two of us got in and out in good time, but a large group came in behind us and were still waiting when when we left, as we're groups that came in later.Food: 4/5
This place, I have visited often. The food is actually pretty good, when they actually have what is on the menu. Oftentimes, I'll attempt to order, only to be told that the item I ordered is not currently available. This is very reminiscent of playing restaurant with the granddaughters. Were it not for the friendly, kind smile of the waitress, it would cause them to refuse fewer stars. Service is a huge issue for me, I will overlook certain things, if I feel that my server is cordial and that is certainly the case with Modern Sports. This isn't just an occasional issue either, it has happened on numerous occasions. Again, servers are great and that allows an extra star.
I totally understand staffing issues and how the power inconveniently went out when the order was placed. What I don't understand is how the customer service still sucked when dealing with a customer.. I could have contacted DoorDash and had the order re-done , but Sabrina, who answered the phone talked me right out of that.. She was very rude and acted as though I was inconveniencing her... I do not leave bad reviews. Everyone has their bad days. However, she was not pleasant at all and should not be talking to your customers!!
