The ribs and pulled pork had no flavor. The BBQ sauce used on them tastes like some cheap canned sauce you might find in a dollar store. The baked beans were of much the same variety. The french fries were fine, but just average crinkle fries you might pick up in the freezer section of your grocery store.
Stopped here on a recent road trip for lunch... The service was a little slow but the staff was prompt and friendly... Had the best hamburger in recent years.. Nice size and full of flavor.. Added Chile and cheese to mine.
First time here and enjoyed myself. The food was delicious.
You have to try it, if you like family oriented restaurants you will love this place.Food: 5/5
I was sadly disappointed in my visit here. I have ate at Adams BBQ for over 30 yrs since they were on Hwy 411 and always one of my favorite places to go. On my visit yesterday it was really disappointing. The BBQ did not even taste like BBQ. I got a salad with pork meat on top and it was lettuce a little cheese and little onion and wet pork with a bad bbq sauce on it that you put in a sandwich. It was so bad I couldn’t eat it. The baked beans tasted like pork and beans out of a can. There was really nothing eatable for the 2 of us. We took a chance on getting Brunswick stew for our neighbor and ourselves. So disappointed in that also. We should have tasted before buying. Spent $48 on a gallon and it looked like colored water when heated no meat or vegetables. Needless to say, I want be going back. The waitress was very nice good service. I truly hope they go back to cooking like they use to. It saddened me to wright this review but money is hard to come by and when you get to go out to eat it should be good food or descent food. So sad
Haven't been here in almost 2 years. After waiting for 45 minutes, finally got seated. Only item I could eat was, due to dietary restrictions, i had to meat loaf. We were just informed there was no meat loaf. Two guests were with me. So I just sitting here. Nothing to order that I can eat. My visit was almost 2 years ago, extremely bad, repulsive food then. I couldn't eat it. Today I'm leaving without eating. The waitress was inconsiderate. Obviously, this will be my last visit. So many other dynamic, decent places to eat, other than this dive.
I want to update my review of Adams, as most of it below had to do with the pandemic, and their response. First of all, I did see the servers there begin to wear masks again after posting this review, so I appreciate that response. Beyond that, we continue to get food from Adams, as it's always fresh and delicious. We love that they opened on Sundays for four hours and often take advantage of that. You can't go wrong there. We love the food at Adams; we've been eating there for decades. When the pandemic hit, I know it was hard on them, like it was for all restaurants, but to their credit, they took early precautions, shut the dining room down, and started serving curbside. As regulations loosened up from our ill-advised governor, they opened the dining room, and though I didn't witness much "distancing" which was prescribed by law, the employees all, at least, wore masks. Slowly but surely, we began to see the masks worn haphazardly by the servers, until they've come to the point where they just don't bother at all. I have no idea if the people who cook the food wear masks, or what kind of health precautions they take, but, quite honestly, the impression I get is not good. I don't care what your political leanings are, or what you believe or don't believe. Health laws are there for a reason. Just because the majority of your customers choose to scoff at the judicious health recommendations that are in place to protect their lives, and the lives of others, does not give employees who serve the public the right to do so, even if the owners, themselves, subscribe to this kind of laxness. We had been getting our meals to go from Adams, and when ALL the servers stopped wearing masks, we decided that we were not going to expose ourselves to even ordering inside anymore. Our last order was over the phone, and when the server kindly brought our order out to the car, she was not wearing a mask. As much as we like Adams Restaurant and have supported it for over two decades, we can no longer bring ourselves to go there any longer, while they show such blatant disregard for our health and well being. I'm tempted to call the County Heath Service and report them. But the County Inspector probably eats there. Such is life in Bartow County, where people live in their own world of denial and make believe.
This was my first time, and I was very pleased with the menu and the service.Food: 5/5
