This place is pretty great. Lots of difficulty levels to choose from and preset belay stations. I had only ever done bouldering before my most-recent visit and needed help learning how to belay. With no prior knowledge on our part, our instructor brought us up to speed within 10-15 minutes. She taught us how to tie the belay knot and support the climber. I left the instruction feeling totally confident and hours of fun were had afterwards. A really terrific experience. Also this is very kid-friendly place for those looking for family activities.

I have been here before, a few times, and enjoyed the experiences. This last time I brought a couples friends who haven't been here and one who has never climbed. The employees were very helpful for us and went over knots (it has been a while since I climbed too). Fairly busy and employees were walking around observing.

There were too very nice young women working when I can in for my first time climbing the other night. They were both extremely helpful and positive about my first experience. One taught me the belay class and it was very informative. The other guided me to which climb I should start on, her name was Rachel or Brittany. Anyways great experience overall, will be coming back for sure.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our personal session at Momentum in Sandy. We are new to climbing and enjoyed it so much, we're considering signing up for their membership; however, what's keeping this review from being 5 stars is the fact that the gym is completely overrun by children, and some of their parents are nowhere in site. It would be wonderful to have certain times at this gym be designated for "adult swim" to cater to those of us who really do not want to have to worry about the safety issues and general annoyance of children bumping into you, cutting in front of you, and running around while you're trying to focus on your climb. While I understand climbing is a family friendly activity, and completely agree that it should be, it would be great to have at least some times designated for adults only.

This is an awesome climbing gym. Lots of great route setting and a good facility. Can get crowded at certain times but the staff is really friendly and helpful. (Willing to help and even providing recommendations for outside climbing) The morning in particular is my favorite time to climb because it is less crowded and the staff at that time is especially cheery and helpful. This gym is definitely a good option if you're looking for a new place to get a climbing membership
