My girlfriend and I visited Pittsburgh and decided to stop in Monterey Pub after touring the Mattress Factory. Outstanding food, down-to-earth employees, and they had an exceptional taste in music! Next time we’re in the MWS area, we’ll be sure to stop by!
Great little neighborhood bar. Nice drink selection and the food was tasty. Service was friendly and fast. We got there just around the dinner rush, it can get pretty crowded, we got the last window seat before nothing was available. Nice spot to grab food and drink if you're planning a trip to the Mattress Factory or National Aviary. Cant believe we didn't find this place sooner, if you're not looking for a bar and don't see the neon light in the window you can easily miss this spot.
Our waitress was very nice, charismatic and attentive. Good beer selection and overall vibes. Only street parking but look for the Irish flag. I had the Chicken Sammich with Mashed Potatoes which was excellent. Can't recommend the Potatoes enough. And it came out quicker than many places. Great neighborhood pub.

What a delightful bar! It was our first time but felt right at home with the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Drinks are super affordable and there is a good number of regulars that still make you feel welcome. Looking forward to returning in the future!
Cozy neighborhood pub with great atmosphere and nice staff! Food and drinks have always been good, try their burgers too! It's always packed in the evenings but I've never had an issue getting seated pretty quickly.
A place with personality to have a soup, a hamburger or the dish of the day and spend time with friends. Cozy atmosphere created by the neighbors of the neighborhood and its visitors. Located in one of the most beautiful streets of Mexican War street.

Mozzarella sticks were fantastic, bangers and mash was great, but skip the gravy, way too sweet. Service was really good. It is crowded and loud, but fun.
