Unfortunately the workers seemed confused and overwhelmed with taking dine-in, drive through, and mobile orders. So it took about 30 minutes to get my dine-in order ready. The staff wasn’t rude but they definitely need more training.
Took 45 min to get through the drive through. Then get a smashed sandwich with fingerprints on the burger bun in catsup. The fries were obviously overdone and brown. This place deserves to go out of business. Stay far away. And found hair in my burger. The speaker where you give your order is filthy and had multiple prices of gum on it. The outside of the building was filthy with garbage all over the place.
Ordered a JR bacon cheeseburger combo AND….I got the wrong sandwich! They gave me a junior cheeseburger with onions and mustard which I despise! Then as I was picking off all those NASTY toppings…. Something black in color caught my eye! Upon closer examination I found out it was a hair!!!!! A LONG atleast 22 inches black strand of HAIR!!!I physically had to PULL it out Bc it was INSIDE and wedged between bun and beef patty!! Looked like weave hair I googled Wendy’s on ALLEGHENY AVE north side-Pittsburgh phone number and called… I explained to the manager what had happened and his EXACT response was “ A hair? Well bring it back so I can look at it!” Like are you freaking serious right now? How unprofessional! I called to let them know so it doesn’t happen to someone else I’m in food service industry and I know how tough it is right now the call was an informative call and I feel as though the person who is running your business ur manager was rude, unprofessional and condescending! He acted as if I was trying to deceive him over a $2 sandwich!!! Like PLEASE little boy, I have better and more important things to worry about than a fast food meal!!!! Needless to say I will NEVER patronize this store ever again! I’d rather go across the street to McDonalds or Wendy’s!!!!!
This evenings visit reminded me how lucky is was the last 3 times I failed to receive service. Twice left line because of slow service and that other time waited for 15 minutes in line only to be told we're closed 20 minutes prior to closing time. I do wish very much you we're closed today. No baked potatoes at dinner time. No lettuce. Fries cold. Ordered a single got a double. Chili tasted over seasoned because they were so dry, as they appeared to be overcooked. Obviously, I'm willing to overlook things as stuff happens occasionally. But at some point I got to say never again. North Shore Wendy's is trash.
Ordered two adult combos and a kids meal. Only one of them was correct, and that was almost cold. One of the adult combos was missing a beef patty ordered a double, got a single and the kids meal was topped completely wrong ordered ketchup only, got, I think, everything else. I took the kids burger back, and at first they tried to see if they could tell me they were right. At least they replaced the burger, rather than just scraping off the offending toppings and handing it back to me. There's a McDonald's, a Taco Bell and a Subway within a block, and we will happily be going to any of those before going back to this Wendy's.
There are 3 fast food restaurants all next to each other here on the north shore taco bell, Wendy's, and McDonald's that are all the 3 worst fast food experiences anyone can have. I avoid them at all costs, unless some unfortunate event like today makes me choose one. Today we tried this Wendy's. Not only was the food somehow overcooked and room temperature at the same time, but we also had one of the strangest dining experiences of our lives. After we ordered in, they locked the doors 1pm. We ate our meal while person after person tried to get in. The cashier and manager even got in a heated exchange with someone who tried to get in...insisting they had to use the drive-through. It was a bizarre experience to witness while we sat there as a family with people looking in wondering why they couldn't get in.
Five people near the counter.. you're anxiously waiting to be asked what you'd like. You're next in line. One of the employees looks at you, quickly looks away. Okay. They must not be on the register. Another glances in your direction, your excitement piques, then drops when they turn away. It's been 5 minutes now, you're getting hungry and desperate. You'd like to speak out and ask if they can just take your order. They're not filling other orders or cooking or cleaning, they're just hanging out with one another. Your despair reaches a low as another employee looks you square in the eye. You give an upturned nod, surely they'll be taking my order. They will not be. They will not. Finally, the very first employee you looked at you begrudgingly goes to the register, looking and speaking as if you're an inconvenience on the grandest scale. You meager out the words of your order and leave, prize in hand. You get to your car after 10 minutes of standing at the register. You look in the bag. Your order is wrong. You decide that eating food you don't want is better than going back in to this fast-food hellscape.
It is just a typical Wendy's, but I rate it 4 stars due to the friendly gentleman who collected our payment in the drive-thru. He was very friendly and even shared his story with us about his move from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh while we waited to move forward. He was very personable, which will always make us remember this particular Wendy's.
Did the drive-thru. Absolutely the driest, overcooked burger I've ever had. Dave must be rolling in his grave, as his thing was juicey burgers. The French fries would good, but were overshadowed by the burger. Even tough there were no cars in line, the order taker made me wait. I think the store needs new managementFood: 1/5
This Wendy's is actually very clean and the service is fast. It feels that they have enough staff to be functional. The quality of the food was also surprisingly fresh. Nothing like the Wendy's in Lawrenceville Pittsburgh, PA wich is an utter disaster. Food: 5/5
