The Pretzels & Cheese appetizer , SPOT ON!!! The rest down hill The Marnatied Chicken Breast was DRY and tough. Lima beans SAD. My Husband left Hungry after a Suppossed 1/2 lb. Burger and Tots. That was served to the next table! I had high hopes As it was my 1st time there. Doubtful I will go back.
Very nice and welcoming neighborhood restaurant. They have a lot of cool drinks as well, including a large mule selection and some pretty good beer to choose from. The food is delicious also. Me and my gf each got a burger and both meals were very fresh and gourmet tasting. Don’t listen to the negative reviews. This is a small restaurant with a small staff. If you’re looking for fast service, go to McDonald’s if you’re in a hurry.
Really good food and we are looking forward to going back! Most of us had the burger, prepared different ways, all were very good. Check out the pimento cheese with the home made chips. The service was a bit off and the fried onion straws were very greasy.
First time and last time here. Not busy at all and the lack of service was amazing. Now I know why it’s not busy. First waitress was confrontational and you could tell she really didn’t want to be there. Long wait just to order and get drinks. Ordered cheese Kurds as a appetizer and got our entrees before the appetizer. I told them I wanted to cancel them and waitress was snotty about it and got mad then Tried to still bring them. I said no and she just walked off. Never saw her again and a nice blonde hair waitress took over and she saved the service the best she could but never tried to make it right. Food was pretty good but the service was to bad to come back.
Oh man this place used to be good, I don’t know what’s change but our experience today was mediocre. We had a burger with fries and onion rings and it was fair, but my wife’s meal in the other hand was pulled pork with Mac and cheese with green beans and a block of corn bread I kid you not it was no different than a microwaveable banquet meal. It was terrible. The food was so bland and flavorless. I hope they can better themselves like before.
slow service despite using only indoor dining today. I saw only 2 servers for the entire dining room but there were several empty tables. I had grilled chicken salad; plenty of lettuce, negligible amount of cheese slivers, and the chicken was very overcooked. It was dry and hacked into tiny and huge pieces. The tiny pieces were so brittle that one gouged the roof of my mouth. The huge pieces were too big for one bite. I ate the edible parts anyway, which is good because it was over 30 minutes before the server checked on us- by which time our party of 4 was done eating. No drinks were refilled because the server never came to check.
A little 'trendy' for my taste. Nice shady outdoor seating, rustic decor. Restroom facilities are limited but the library restroom is not too far away . Nice place to visit.
I had the salmon BLT with sweet potato fries. While the salmon was overcooked, the taste was adequate. Husband had the pork ribeye: it tasted good but unfortunately made him quite sick.
I remember this place when it didn't have the "Gourmet" in the middle of it's name and was a local convenience store with the owner running a butcher shop in the back where we would stop from time to time. It's good to see this place take on a new life and the food and atmosphere are good.
Yikes. This place is a mess! First in line. Had to leave 30 minutes in because we had zero service. All while they kept turning people away from a huge table at 11:00 am so they could save it for a 12:30 reservation. Waitresses were running around frantically all while seemingly not actually serving anyone. Avoid until they fix staffing issues.
