You need to try these sandwiches! I've been there before to get their high quality meat. I've been keeping an eye out for the reopening after the storms that passed through and had to order two sandwiches for a little variety. I ordered the Hot Mess and the Cuban and both were the best sandwiches in Morro Bay and some of the best sandwiches I've ever had! There is love in these sandwiches and it will come through with every bite. The Cuban was my favorite, I will be back very soon.
Amazing sandwiches! I got the Hot Mess and it was delicious. Braised beef with mushrooms and peppercorns they softened during the braising so they just give a little heat and smokiness. Brother in laws split the philly cheese steak, which they described as amazing.
Awesome little butcher shop and deli in Morro Bay. Parking is ample and the shop is just two blocks walk to the waterfront. The sandwiches are excellent and I would highly recommend the grilled cheese options! You can pick up all of your ingredients for a charcuterie board too - which we did just prior to our camping trip. It was a nice little treat for after camp setup.
Fantastic deli and butcher! We picked up a delicious baguette, cheeses and several of their fantastic tomato-cheese tarts and homemade sausage roll. Wow! On both the pastry was light and buttery and the sausage beautifully spiced!! Small but excellent selection of salamis. We picked up the finnochiona which was superb!! The meats in the meat case looked incredible and if we lived here we would shop here. You are lucky Morro Bay to have this at your fingertips!!!
Jeff and family are just what Morro Bay needed. Incredible meats and service. The tenderloin and New York strip we purchased were the softest I have tasted in a very very long time. Combined with crabs from Giovanni’s we had the local version of surf and turf that had the in-laws in heaven.
Hands down, tuck and roll….this has got the best TriTip and TriTip Tuesday Sando this foodie has ever had. I awake on Mondays to know on Tuesday I can order the TriTip Sando.
We went for sandwiches to go one day and went back the next. The people were great as was the food. Huge sandwiches with fresh ingredients, made the way you want. A don't miss kind of place. Walking distance to Blue Sail Inn. Quite a selection of gourmet meats, from Waygu beef to duck, in the butcher shop. Too bad we live so far away.
Absolutely incredible people and food. This is my go to spot in Morro. Their daily deli selection is amazing shoutout to the sticky ribs and the butcher cuts are out of this world. On top of that they are straight up lovely people! Best of the best!
Any time I visit any deli I try their club sandwich, not because it's my favorite but because if you mess that up then I'm not ever coming back. I tried the Morro Bay Butcher & Deli today for the first time and I can say without a doubt they have the best club sandwich in SLO county. The business appeared clean and the owners new to SLO were front and center behind the counter and we're very friendly welcome to SLO county BTW. I will be back to try more. I did get a good size portion of their pecan smoked bacon too which I have not tried yet but it looks amazing and is nice and thick. Prices seemed fair for the quality and amount you get that Club is BIG and they certainly know their meat. I hope more people discover this place and it keeps getting better with age, just like a nice thick steak.
Rented a house on the beach with friends and wanted a tenderloin for dinner. Found this Butcher shop and WOW! what a great experience. Butcher/owner took about 15 minutes to trim the tenderloin beautifully. Did a simple oven roast and all agreed it was out of this world both in flavor and tenderness. I would suggest calling ahead day before as this is a small operation and in this way you can be assured what you want is in stock and ready for pick-up. Great addition to the community.
