I want to express my thanks to the staff for their excellent service! All my needs and request were taken care of speedily and with kindness. The front desk staff were wonderful at all times, and the ladies in the housekeeping department took care of my every need. We decided to come to Chicago at the last minute the 4th of July weekend. We stayed at the Harvey Illinois location. I've never stayed at Motel 6. The room was very clean and fresh. Being a Hilton person I was surprised. My check in was with Marissa who was very polite,pleasant and professional. I must say it was disappointing that in today's time that coffee nor coffee makers were available. There was no iron nor ironing board available. The hotel was under construction but that was not a problem. I was there with my husband and two son's (11 & 14). Accessing the internet was impossible. We did have someone come into our room around 12:30am. My son's were sleeping but my husband and I was up watching television and was quite surprised. I called the front desk and inquired about this and I believe the ladies name was Lucy, apologized and when I asked for new keys (knowing our keys would no longer work) she quickly said that she would bring up replacement keys. I didn't get to upset about this because I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and I understand that mistakes happen and there was no use in making her night worse. She apologized and didn't make excuses for the mistake and quickly fixed the problem. Over all with the exception of the man who was on the desk at check out every staff member including housekeeping was very polite and professional.

The rooms are not being kept up properly. The towels were not clean and in the main lobby was a strange odor when coming in the door. The vending machines were not filled and they don't serve contential breakfast or great coffee and the lock on the door didn't work properly.

I heard so many bad things about this hotel upon arriving i was so scared to come here. False alarm, the staff was awesome, my room was extremely clean, the place smelled and looked good. I love it here.

Nice environment, clean rooming. Air conditioning kinda crappy but overall nice stay
