Staff are helpful and efficient went checking you in. The gym is clean and the equipment is well spread apart. The trainers are well knowledged. So far I have been pleasantly pleased!

Terrible gym. They bait-and-switch you with lots of smiles and assurances on how great the amenities and services are. So me and my wife signed up on the family plan that included day care, where they assured us they had some of the best employees in childcare. Even before putting pen to paper, I asked them if they were capable of taking care of newborns i e feeding and changing or if they had to be of toddler age. Once again they assured me that they would be able to feed and change babies and that we would be able to get our workouts done no problem. But then once we gave them our CC and signed the paperwork we immediately started having trouble. The first couple times we didn't even bring our child yet we had trouble checking in. On the second time this happened I asked them if they could assure us the problem was fixed so we wouldn't have to go through this waiting hassle a third time. They assured us the problems was fixed and that we would check in next time with no problem. Showed up a third time, once again we were told to wait on the couch.... had to wait 10 minutes for the next available salesperson / trainer and then once they checked out our cards to see what the problem was they said IDK what the problem is you're good to ahead workout. I should have known that things are going bad but then the first time we actually took our child there that was when I made up my mind to cancel the membership. Not only do they have some of the most unskilled Child Care some of them are just teenagers that are obviously lazy and can't be bothered. They have monitors throughout the gym which show the security feed to the daycare and for the entire hour that we were there they just sat my infant daughter in a bouncy chair in a corner facing a wall and left her there crying for the entire hour. Then one of the employees came out to interrupt my workout to tell me and my wife that our daughter wasn't doing so well and we would have to come get her. Ummmm..... yeah babies don't do so well when you leave alone facing a wall by themselves and ignore them especially if they're hungry or need a diaper change but apparently when it comes to that they'll just come out interrupt your workout and ruin it by telling you to come get your kid because it's too much of a problem. Seriously their daycare centers is filled with a bunch of teenagers. I highly recommend if you have children and are thinking of doing family plan, do not do it. Very unhelpful staff. I think the only smile I got was from the initial sales person who sold us our memberships, after that I don't think there was a single friendly face in the gym everybody was unhelpful as far as staff goes. Run for the hills, there are cheaper gyms if you're willing to drive a few more miles.

This gym is right by my house and at this time it's the only gym around. It's got everything I need but is what I would consider a bit small. Pretty much anytime I go, 6am or 6pm as that's what my schedule allows during the week, it's busy and you have to wait for equipment. But the staff is very friendly and I like the atmosphere. I think it's a fair price for what you get and other than it getting quite crowded I have no complaints.

I workout at LA Fitness, but asked the staff here if I could try out this gym for a single workout session. The pleasant girls at the front desk found this to be a reasonable request and let me through, but the manager stopped me during my workout and told me to pay $15 or leave. I did not have the money on hand, so I obliged and left the building. I understand that the manager was simply trying to do his job, but he made me feel very nervous and uncomfortable despite my polite compliance. I do not have a membership at this location, but based off this particular experience, I will not consider joining this gym when my LA Fitness membership is up for renewal.

MF charged our account although our contract had come to an end. We made multiple calls and went to gym to resolve issue but always got the run around. Three different people told us three different stories as to who was in charge and could resolve issue. As a result we have not still received a refund and the manger is conveniently "out of town till next week" . Quick to take your many but uncooperative who it comes to refunding money that they have no right to. We will never go to Mountainside Fitness again. Plenty of other gyms with better rates to go to.
