We called last minute to schedule a urgent move and they were on it! They showed up with 6 guys and packed our entire house wrapped and packed everything as we wanted. Even drove between houses and storage unit in a different city for us! They were awesome. I would recommend them to anyone! You get what you pay for!!

Subsequent to my review the owner contacted me to express that this was not the experience their customers typically have and to apologize.  He also  refunded a portion of the moving fee.  I really appreciated him reaching out and the partial refund, and he appeared to genuinely want to make this right.

I used Move Central to move from Carmel Valley to about 8.2. miles away to a condo in del Mar last Friday, June 30th, 2017.  My experience scheduling the move was very positive. I received a call and a follow up email. Little did I know it would take two men from 3:45 pm to 2 am to move my one bedroom apartment, from a building with  a large elevator into a two story condo.

The movers were scheduled to show up between 2 and 4. They finally showed up at 3:45 pm. The leader of the two person crew told me they were exhausted, having already moved someone else earlier. I was sympathetic, but unfortunately still had to move as my lease was ending.

We asked them to stop packing items in the Kitchen as it was obviously taking too long. I had some boxes on the first floor in a storage unit, I ended up taking most all of them to the truck myself. It appeared the the movers were taking many items one at a time and didn't have a large box on a "four roller" to move a lot of items at once.

During the move out of the apartment, they informed me that they needed to take a break and disappeared for 45 minutes. After the items were finally loaded into the truck with my help, they told me they needed to go eat. I wouldn't see them again for another 1.5 hours. After the first hour, I tried frantically to reach them, worried that something had gone terribly wrong and maybe I should call the police to report the robbery. They informed me they had an issue getting their pizza from Domino's but that they were on their way.

We used them to move my company on July 28th. The movers showed up an hour and half late. They showed up with 7 men and 2 trucks. We contracted for 9 men and 3 trucks. The other 2 men and a truck showed up 3.5 hours later. They estimated 8 hours. It ended up being 10.5 hours and it took 4 truck loads. A few of the office desks were broke. They did ultimately give us a discount, however it cost me a lot more since my employees ended up sitting around all day waiting for the movers to get the items to the new office. My employees ended up moving items off the truck just to help things move faster. Given the opportunity, I would not personally use them again. I think if they had to move just a single truck load, they might have been fine. Just not equipped for a larger move.

Move Central movers showed up earlier in the window rather than at the tail end of the window. They took great care in handling my belongings and maintained precise notes on the entire inventory. The movers were professional, thorough, and polite.
