Smothered shrimp and crab over grits!!!a tip from our waiter If you like southern cuisine at all, this place is a must! The pictures don't do it justice, the French toast looks plain but is anything but that. Even the egg and sausage sandwich is deceivingly good. They are adding on an upstairs dining area so we had to sit outside as the lower dining room is small, but it doesn't matter cause the food is so good you won't care if you're in, out, up down or on the moon, its just really good food!
This place is a .. the staff was friendly, clean environment and food was good. I was surprised when look at it on Google. The restaurant was busy yet relaxing. The environment was open and bright. The menu has something for everyone. I eat lite in the morning yet healthy.. I wish they had smaller portions for people like me. I did feel a little confused when my driver was told that both of us could not have the kids meal after we was told that was an option by the server. Traveling to the area from Mt. Pleasant, SC... I am unsure if I would visit again because of that. I would recommend for others to give it a try... Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian options on the menu Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu. Parking: There is parking on the street and a parking lot on the side of the building.
If you're looking for a delicious, quintessential Savannah breakfast look no further. The smothered shrimp n' grits was the perfect way to start my day- I embarrassingly inhaled my plate of food! Perfectly serving size and the flavors meshed together nicely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
So good!! When they say "seasoned with love" it shows in how delicious the food is. I can see why this place is so popular. My husband had the biscuits and gravy deluxe and I think they were the best either of us had ever tasted. My salmon omelette was also incredible and so full of the salmon. I could barely finish!
So we chose this location based on the reviews. I got the crab cake with French toast and eggs. The crab was definitely fresh and full of flavor. The french toast was loaded with cinnamon and powdered sugar, and so sweet already that I didn’t even need syrup. Moms got the salmon patty with grits and eggs. I’m glad I got the crab cake instead!! Salmon patty or croquette whatever you prefer was good but mines was da bomb.. Now the kids got hotcakes with turkey sausage and eggs. They don’t sell any pork products from looking at menu. Now these pancakes were buttery, golden brown and fluffy. Overall the food was super good and we sat upstairs on the deck. I believe they are remolding the inside of the 2nd floor. It’s a small restaurant so arrive early. We got there at like 9:30 am on a Saturday morning no wait time. However when we left it was crowded and people were waiting to be seated. So arrive early folks. Our tab was $60 bucks for 4 people. Not bad at all, support this restaurant and give them a try! Make sure you Get the crab cakes and order some French toast or hotcakes as well! Also the service was awesome and our food came out in a reasonable time.
On direction from an old Savannah native, I was accompanied here for the seafood omelette and cheese grits. This is by far the best breakfast I can remember having. Sit on the sidewalk and talk to the locals. Great place. A 5 Star for sure. “That’s money”
This food is so good! The dining room is tiny, so we ordered to go. The crab cake and salmon were excellent, not too salty. The grits had butter, nice and yummy. The French toast was well seasoned as well and no, we didn't need syrup. We'll be back!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Contrary to others opinion, the wait time was very short and my food came out very fast. Similarly to others, the food was incredibly delicious and the crab stew and grits were very flavourful and the Salmon biscuit was large and for a good price. The staff were very attentive and helpful. But the bathroom did not have soap, uh oh!
Phenomenal breakfast food. Smothered shrimp with gravy is possibly the best you will ever enjoy. This place is kid friendly serving french toast, pancakes and a slightly sweet grilled cheese. You may not have come to Savannah to visit Narobia's Grits & Gravy, but you'll leave planning to come back for it.
Had the crab stew, liver & onions and a couple of breakfast biscuits. The chef was super friendly and the remodel looks very nice.
