I adopted an amazing 8 month old puppy from the humane society. Words can't even describe how well behaved and intelligent this dog is. I enjoyed working with the humane society through the adoption process. They provided a lot of information on the pup including multiple behavior assessments. I felt like I knew almost everything about him before adopting him. As any business, they do get very busy through certain parts of the day, but staff was very friendly and willing to help in any way they could.

The Humane Society has a hard roll to play in the world. Especially this one. If you've ever been to any others states Humane Society, Nebraska's is one of the cleanest and well kept Humane Society I've ever seen. 

It's a great place for tourist to visit with children on a road trip or if you want something to do for for the locals. I personally like taking my little human in the winter when I'm dealing with cabin!There's a petting kitty land, as well as rabbits, other smal rodents to see. 

On the other hand I wonder how is it that the Humane Society has an animal that needs a home. I have a loving home to provide but don't have the $75 and up  for the cost of the animal. The Humane Society would rather euthanize the animal.  If the animal gets too old or if they need room for other animals.  I don't see how that is Humane. 🤔

What I can say about Nebraska Humane Society is everyone there is always friendly it's always clean the dogs are well care of. I gave him a five stars because they take care of the animals that everyone tosses out. I keep going back that's where I got my dogs that I have now the last 9 years.My best Buddy in the whole world thank you again

Went there two days in a row. Saturday at 4:10 we wanted this amazing pitbull that would have been perfect for our family. When I asked about him she told me a little about him and nothing else I said we were going to come back tomorrow to look at him. (I called the place and a robot on the phone said the staff can not say if a dog has or has not been adopted or not. You just have to come in and see for yourself.... that’s just BS) So we got there Sunday morning the second they opened. He was gone. Yesterday they didn’t say he was already adopted we were heart broken. 
So then at 10:30 ( 30 min after they opened) we wanted to check out our second choice of dog we were 5th in line an hour and a half later we were second in line then a total of 3 hours we were still waiting, we had to go. We drove all the way from Lincoln with 2 of our dogs. The organization is awful.  The dogs are so stressed out pacing around, shaking badly. So you really can’t see the dogs personality because they are so stressed from all the  chaos  Running in the building.

Seriously compassionate staff members. I sadly had to give up my two kitties; but knowing that they'll be in good hands that care about their wellbeing and will make sure that they go to a good home made the task a bit easier.
