Food is always on point with friendly staff and nice decor.  Been going to Negril for years and never been disappointed.  The curry goat is so good I need rehab to stop eating it. And the coco bread may someday cause me my marriage; that's right honey, I've been going behind your back. Dont listen to all the people with PhD in hating that you couldn't make happy if you were paying them. Keep making great food and serving the many customers that have kept you in business for years.

I called Feb. 14 at 6:45p.m. to place a pick-up order.  The person who answered told me to "hold on a minute" and she placed the phone on the counter.  I could hear ALL the restaurant background noise.  I sat on hold for about 3 minutes , and then someone hung up on me.  I called again, and patiently placed my order.  When I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes later I was told no one took my order--peas and rice, and one veggie patty.  The guy at the register took my order, and I waited another 5 minutes for the food.

When I got home I was unhappy to find that the veggie patty I had paid for was not in the bag.   In addition the rice and peas were very dry.  The curry sauce helped a bit, but I only ate a small portion and ended up tossing the rest of the food in the trash.  It was that unappetizing!

I've noticed the quality of the food and the service at Negril in Bowie has declined during the last two years. Disappointing.   I've been a customer since I moved to Bowie 14 years ago.  No more  .

They have really gone down.  I have been a customer of Negril for over 25 years.  The quality and the authenticity has gone down enormously!  I brought a veggie roti, some peas and rice and carrot cake and NONE of it was good.  It was not seasoned well and was mushy and the cake was very doughy.  The smell of Caribbean food was not present.  They need to go back to their roots.  Stop trying to mass produce you are NOT McDonald's.

Given this 1 star an i think that is even too much. Been craving a beef patty for awhile now an stop in to get 1. Ordered 1 for my son an 1 for myself with a coco bread. I also ordered a jerk chicken with rice an peas with cabbage for me older sister. When i received my order i look in my bag to make sure i had everything i ordered. When i opened up the box with the food the chicken that was in the box look like oven done bake chicken. So i brought it up to the counter an told them this isnt jerk chicken the guy said "yes it is wat you might be use to is the 1 that done on a grill i said yes an maybe you all need to pay someone that can cook it on the grill right rather than selling people oven done bake chicken and calling it jerk chicken". I can say 1 thing i do like your coco bread but you all need to go back to the drawing board on the jerk chicken an come again. Mi no know a wey uno come off a give ppl curry chicken garvy with uno so call jerk chicken. Mi neva si nothing inna mi life like this yet. And the jerk sauce wey uno put inna di cup uno could a keep that cuz it taste bad no rass. Im sorry but u all will never get my money again i rather go to the jerk pit in  Baltimore.
