Our experience was not good. Administrator and staff blamed our loved one with cognitive issues and family for lack of care, respect, communication and safety. Which resulted in a fast decline.

Outstanding care and concern was provided to my husband and his family. Never was an unkind word or sour face observed on any staff member. I am so very grateful that my husband passed in his sleep in such a place as Nevada State Veterans Home. When I can no longer remain in my home I will choose this facility for my care.

The Veterans Memorial is a treasure. I hope more people get a chance to visit the veterans at the VA hospital north of Las Vegas. After going to the VA so many times, I am glad the City of Las Vegas is remembering the Veterans with this impressive memorial. So majestic, such powerful statues. Many people were visiting when I arrived. I am thrilled to see people paying attention to the needs of our veterans. My father was captured twice as a POW in the Korean War. Las Vegas has many retired veterans. I enjoy meeting them at all the functions throughout the City of Las Vegas, especially the City Hall functions like those for the Purple Heart awarded by Councilman Bob Beers this Spring 2016.

The staff are wonderful, caring, professional, dependable and knowledgeable. We are very grateful for the high quality care our Dad received from the staff on Sidewinder - they are the absolute best! We highly recommend this facility.
