New Zen Japanese Restaurant

This traditional Japanese restaurant has to be the best of its kind in the area. I've been going here for 20 years and have never been displeased. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for traditional Japanese, any negative comments on here I would assume are from people who expect Americanized food. The service is always top-notch, so if you want great food with fantastic service I wouldn't recommend any other place.

Went for a Friday night dinner. The staff is very friendly, but the place is a bit of a dive. All the menus and table placards are dirty. The food was ok, but it came out looking like sushi amature hour. For 4 rolls I ended up spending around $45 which is pretty steep for the mediocre presentation and ok quality. Was really hoping this restaurant would live up to the 4 star average review but I felt it fell short. I might check it out again sometime because the staff is so friendly, but I didn't have a great experience.

I've had their lunch bento box as well as the lunch sushi selection. Both were very tasty and fairly priced. The service is good and the place is rarely busy (for lunch).
