As a postal employee in Norman for 3 weeks of training I decided it would be best to ship some of my purchases back rather than trying to fit them in my suitcase. I was extremely disappointed to find that the after-hours kiosk was completely empty of all sizes of Priority Mail boxes. The lobby look like the custodian has been on annual leave for weeks. After reading all the poor reviews and this experience I can tell that these employees are #NOT#PostalProud.

They somehow managed to misdeliver a package to a PO box inside of their own office so that it had to be returned to the original shipping address, from me. Except I never got it back. The package was important enough that I flew up to Oklahoma and went to the office 3 times straight until they found the package... behind the front desk. I took it and drove it to the business office and hand delivered it myself because I didnt even trust them to put it in the P.O. Box. Avoid this place at all costs if you can. Really made me grateful for my local post office in Houston which is much much much much better and far more conscientious. The employees here don't care and are just putting in time for a check. As with most government offices, it's difficult to properly hire or fire for productivity, because they have no way of measuring productivity. If I could I would prefer to stick with Fedex and UPS, but unfortunately due to some contract stipulations I'm forced to use USPS, none of our new contracts include USPS due to this office and several other USPS locations that are lacking in conscientiousness and efficacy. Simply put, they pretend to work and do just enough to get you to go away. Avoid.

Twice important checks have been misdelivered, causing me to have to pay other obligations late. Very poor customer service when I was tracking down the checks. No one gave an answer about the checks until my third visit to the office; then I was told that the carrier wasn’t allowed to go beyond the gate to deliver it, so it kept being returned to the office.

Why do I have to wait an hour to speak to someone? Then, be told I selected the wrong extension, be transferred to a different department, which then will place me on hold for another hour.. The post office is incredibly efficient and inefficient at the same time. Wow.

It's better than driving across the country. I've had only a few issues over several decades. I don't know if I could say that about me.
