I drove all the way to this hospital for outpatient surgery and arrived at about 5:00 a.m. I was greeted in a friendly and professional manner by the staff. My surgeon was about an hour late due to a small error, but the nurses kept me warm and very comfortable while we waited. Once surgery was over and I was well enough to travel back home, a discharge nurse asked me if I wanted to take home a cup of chicken noodle soup. It was so nice of her to ask and the soup was great! What a warm gesture. Thank you so much - you did a great job!

Probably the worst hospital I have ever been to. Staff does not care about any of their patients. Unless you are dying and only have minutes to live, I would highly recommend going to a different hospital. If I could give them a 0 I definitely would.

The ER isn't as bad as people have said. The Doctors & Nurses that I have encountered doing the times that I've gotten sick have been extremely nice & they took great care of me. Same goes for the care that my kids have received as well. Today my brother & I went to his outpatient visit and the staff were friendly, and did an awesome job taking care of my brother doing his appointment. His nurse was a guy named John & he was awesome. He attended to my brother, was patient, he explained the procedure where my brother was able to understand it better, and answered any questions and concerns that we had. Dr. Studio & the other Nurses that came in & out of the area did a fantastic job as well.

Summer 2016 I was at work and wasn’t feeling too good I was having stomach issues. I get bad stomach pain every now and then , my manager told me I should probably go to the er cause it could be kidney stone so my dad took me to the er that evening, I was there for about 3 hours . There were 3 doctors and a nurse caring for me one was Koran/ Asian and he had a whole attitude with me . Anyway they took blood test, X-ray and p test to see what was wrong with me and they came back with results within an hour come to find out I was Constipated about two weeks later they mailed me my er bill I couldn’t believe it was $2900 and my insurance paid like 6 percent I’ve never been to the er so I was so upset and I’m probably never going back .im still paying for it but it’s been a struggle I can hardly afford to pay it

A family member went to Kish ER for difficultly breathing. Day 3 in Hospital. Patient told they were being discharged this day. Family members stated to staff condition deteriorating and very concerned. No Dr until 5:00 pm to check on condition. Dr orders test to check for blood clots in lungs and not seen again. After 6 attempts to get an IV patient told cannot do CT Scan because they cannot get an IV. Patient begins to have difficulty talking and complains of numbness in mouth and tongue. Patient complains of worst headache ever and is sick. States they are going to die.Patient cannot any longer state family member’s names. Family continues to call for help for deteriorating condition. Asks to get a Dr in the room. Patient no longer oriented and condition deteriorated. Asks for Dr. Told Dr. is busy in the ER. Family asks for help and state concern this is a stroke. Wait one hour for a test patient cannot endure now because of vomiting due to severe headache. 3 hours patient left with no signs of help. Family asks for patient to be transported. Patient given Meds to stop vomiting. 11:00 pm family has not seen a Dr and asks for patient to be transferred. Request denied. Family takes patient out of hospital on their own to CDH ER. Assessment give, test ran, results given....patient has had a stroke. Patient Age 60. If a survey was given I am sure 99.9 % would have said this person was having a stroke! Not at Kishwaukee Hospital though. So much for adding NorthWestern to the name. Should have dropped “Hospital” off the name at the same time.
