Olde Salem Cafe owner Renate takes pride in serving German influenced quality food at a reasonable price making sure customers are satisfied and coming back for more.....

We are located in the Olde Salem Plaza strip mall in Hanover Park just off of Irving Park Road near Wise. We feature freshly baked German Gourmet Desserts and 'On the Go' sandwiches.

Stop by and try our Cuban Sandwich, 'One-of-a-kind' White Brat and Pretzelburgers, Currywurst, delicious Pulled Pork and much, much, more. Add a side of freshly cut fries topped with their own blend of seasonings, German potato salad or salad. Did we mention that most of the sandwiches include our freshly baked rolls including pretzel buns.

Don't stop there; Renate is known for her delicious desserts that include; Streusel, Kahlua Kuss Cake, Brownies, Yogurt Tart, Kolackies, Bienenstich (yellow cake), Cheese Cake, Tiramisu, Schoko Creme Cake, Cookies and more.

How about breakfast Saturday morning breakfast.....serving our traditional German Apple Pancakes which is the specialty of the house and of course you can also order traditional breakfast items.....wow.
