Story

Welcome to Pacific Dunes RV Resort. We are located right next to the dunes. A lot of our sites gives you a majestic view over the 5 cities area.

For you convenience we do have a horse riding stables where you can purchase a 1 hour guided tour. Please contact them for pricing and schedule 805-489-8100.

On site we offer a small general store where you can purchase Ice - cold drinks - snacks - and some merchandise like shirts jackets. As well we have a coin operated laundry room and a game room.

We are a short distance from the beach if you like hiking through mounds of sands. However we are a short distance to pier avenue entrance where you can drive onto the beach or park and enjoy a some fun in the sun.

We try to stay here every year for a couple months each. We love the 5 cities area and the mild weather tops it all off. People that run the park are very nice & accommodateing

The park is great. The employees...not so much. Cleaning should be done more often. Rules should apply to everyone, not chosen ones.

Part of the Encore group, this RV park is an excellent place if you're into Sand Dunes! The Rv spots were just fine, but a wee bit off-level (I had to use pads under my front tires), but the electric, sewer, and water were all great. The best part of this campground is the Sand Dunes. On the south-west corner of the property is a private entrance out onto the Dunes. Our kids love the beach... but they only splash around in the water for a short while... and then they spend the rest of the day with plastic shovels and buckets moving sand from Point A to Point B and back again. While we typically love staying at beachside locations, I have to admit that this park may be even better (especially for the kids). Since it's "sand" that the kids love the most, the sand here is premium. It's mostly dry, since it's a good mile, or close to it, to get to the ocean... the kids can run in pretty much any direction and not be out-of-sight (you don't have to worry about them getting too close to the water if you're not right there beside them), and if you borrow (for free) the sleds from the front office the kids can spend hours and hours riding down the sand hills. It's a load of fun, without all the mess that usually happens when we're beachside. The staff is friendly, the location is nice, and you're pretty close to the most common places (restaurants, fast food, health food, Walmart, auto center, etc.,). The one thing to note is that when you start to approach the park you're just going to have to trust your GPS... because it will appear to be taking you to some beat-up alley behind a junkyard and out into an open farm field. Just keep going -- because the RV park is really out there. If you're in to dune buggy driving, horseback riding, or any other kind of sport that involves the beach, water, or sand and hills -- this might just be your dream spot.

It is in such a beautiful location and right on the Sand Dunes. I can see why some people criticize it. It could use a lick of paint and some of the Rv's that have ben there for a while are a little untidy. The Toilets aren't great either, and it has no real facilities. But it is amazing if you want to run around in the amazing Dunes. It is quiet and peaceful. If you need a pool and a well stocked shop, you'll need to go somewhere else. If you want unique camping right on the dunes in peace and quiet, this place is awesome.

Nice and quiet location. Many RV parks is Pismo are right next to busy roads. This one is secluded yet still close to all that Pismo and Oceana have to offer. Nice facility.
