Pearlz Oyster Bar is committed to serving only the best seafood South Carolina has to offer. Our Seafood Menu features an assorted mix of raw shellfish, local seafood, Lowcountry recipes, and regional favorites. Our raw bar offers a variety of oysters and fresh seasonal shellfish. We're also a part of the Sustainable Seafood Initiative, so eating at Pearlz is good for both the palate and the planet.

I've always been a fan of Pearlz on East Bay, but haven't been to this location yet. West Ashley is lucky to have a restaurant like this in our midst. My wife and I came here on a Saturday night and there was plenty of seating. That can't always be said for the location downtown. It honestly even felt like a bigger location, though I can't verify square footage for either one, so don't hold me to it. We started off with the fried oyster appetizer, which comes with buffalo sauce and blue cheese for dipping. The oysters are fine without any sauces, because the flavor can hold up on it's own, but a good dip here and there is never a bad thing. After that, I chose the lobster roll. I normally get raw oysters as well, but wasn't super hungry today, so I satisfied my needs with the lobster roll. The lobster was prepared quite well, and the top split but was buttered and toasted to perfection. It came with a side of house made chips, which I feel could've been seasoned a little bit more, but I didn't complain, and neither did my wife, because she ate her fair share too. I washed it all down with a pint of the Holy City featured beer, and that may be something which I now look for when I go in to stock up my fridge at home. Overall, another great experience at Pearlz, and very happy to now know that it's just as good in WA as it is on East Bay.

I always recommend this little Oyster Bar to anyone visiting Charleston. It's the perfect happy hour spot if you're in the mood for oysters and good, strong cocktails! The oyster shooters are a must try! Only $4 during happy hour. HOUSE OYSTERS ON THE HALF SHELL (raw or steamed) are $12 per dozen. My favorites are the steamed oysters, and the lobster roll. YOU MUST GET THE LOBSTER ROLL. It comes with big chunks of lobster sandwiched between a soft and buttery brioche bun, lightly toasted on the outside. Pearlz Oyster Bar is a fun, eclectic restaurant serving the very best in fresh seafood, including an assorted mix of raw shellfish, local seafood, Lowcountry recipes and regional favorites. The raw bar offers a variety of Lowcountry and Gulf oysters as well as specialty oysters, in addition to fresh seasonal shellfish. I love the atmosphere. It's very hipster meets Poseidon. Even the bathrooms are cool. The only con is that parking can be a real challenge. But other than that - good food, good drinks, nice space, and friendly staff! What more can you ask for?

After being seat near the bar 15 minutes prior to happy hour being over (which didn't matter because I was there for some seafood and a good Bloody Mary) After waiting 25 - 30 minutes and watching waitress after waitress walk by and not even acknowledge me, I had to walk to the far end of the bar and ask for assistance. Well normally I would have just walked out of the place, but I was hungry for some oysters and finding parking was ridiculous. Therefore I ordered an appetizer and one drink. That was enough to tie me over until I found somewhere else to dine. I am not a jerk, so I didn't stiff the waitress. I will never go back that's for sure!

Service is good. Oysters are normally good but last two hamburgers were very ordinary. Very loud inside.

We have always had excellent food and good service. We live out of town but when we get a hankering for great oysters we plan to drive a few hours and make Pearlz our first stop.
