I've been into this location three times. First two experiences I received terrible customer service, no assistance whatsoever and what appeared to be either lack of knowledge about bikes or lack of interest in helping me. The store was not busy on either of these occasions. The third time I used Penn Cycle to rent a bike for a triathlon. The customer service I received was much improved, friendly and helpful. But, the bike I received was defective and broke halfway through my race. After the fact they were very apologetic and refunded my purchase. Unfortunately, the bike experience, combined with my first two customer service experiences have left me a pretty disappointed customer.

Fred was very helpful and informative when it came to fixing up my "vintage" bike. It needed most of the parts replaced, and the prices were all as cheap or cheaper than ordering them online. He also went across the street to pick up a part they didn't have from another bike shop. The repairs were turned around in less than a day. Everyone at the store is very friendly and I've never had any issues. AND they rent bikes here at a decent price, which is perfect when I have family visiting and they want a step up from the Nice Rides :) The free air pumps are also a huge plus.

I was amazed how Chass went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with my repairs at penn cycle.  

But beyond that, I was pleasantly shocked when he provided me with free bike lights to ensure I got home safely after the repairs ran a bit over.

It was refreshing to see that level of customer service and general care from a business.  Thanks!!

Kyle, the new store manager, helped me purchase a new bike last weekend. He gave me all the information I needed to make my decision and suggested a test ride before I bought the bike. He was very helpful.
