I needed a new battery.  I shopped around and choose one from Pep Boys.  It was on sale and there was even a coupon for free installation.  I normally would install the battery myself but, with FREE installation I decided to schedule an appointment and let them do it.  I scheduled the appointment for 10 am the next morning.  I was very impressed at this point.  Great website, good price, and free install.  That is where the good impression ended.

It was my very first time going to Pep Boys and I doubt if I will ever go back.  I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment.time.  Checked in at the service desk where they acknowledged my purchase and my appointment.  I went to the waiting area and sat down, and sat, and sat, and sat.  It was an hour before they took my car into the shop.  And another hour before it came out.  That is insane. 

If they were backed up, it would have been nice if they told me.  But 2 hours at Pep Boys to have a battery installed....just nuts!

If you walk in to change your tires and they find something broken that you were possibly not aware of, they cannot give your car back until you pay to replace it and that'll cost you quite a bit. You don't have an option to take it somewhere else. Employees were good, especially Frank he helped me out and was very kind, but that company policy is horrible.

If I could give zero stars I would. I watched as the tech drove my manual transmission honda from the parking spot to the alignment lift like he was at the race track. Then from the alignment lift out of the garage through the parking lot and to the front of the store like he was in a drag strip. He also marked on my alignment service contract that my car had 286k miles when it actually had 282k miles on it. My service agreement was for 12 months or 12k miles. I brought it up to the service manager and returned to the store 30 mins after I realized he made a mistake, and he said there was nothing he could do since it was already in the system. Plus they charged a $10 shop fee, when I asked what the out the door price was for the one year alignment service. I also emailed the corporate headquarters explaining this experience to them, and haven't heard anything and I emailed them in October. 

NEVER AGAIN!

Good selection of car seat covers. Staff was helpful but not really friendly
