Twice I have been tricked into believing they could have my car in and out in a day. Both times they told me they had slots for me and could get the service done. Once was to trace down a leak in my AC and the second was to flush my transmission fluid- both times I dropped my car off in the morning as I work nearby and walk 1.5 miles. Both times I call in the afternoon before I am off work to be told...they did not have a chance to look at it. Both times, I have to walk back and get my car and take it to the North Location where they did it while I waited on the following Saturday. It is a really common complaint at this location where folks have their vehicles outside for weeks and they overbook the service and quite often leave without the service even taking place- particularly when it comes to tires. In an area where so many husbands are deployed this is a serious safety issue and businesses like these have a responsibility to the community that they are not fulfilling! They need to either add more employees or be honest about booking the repairs, they also need a verification process before letting someone leave with a vehicle that came in for a safety issue, like tires. I also note the owner is always responding yet I would think this many complaints might deem some attention from their corporate offices. At the same time many of these reviews that keep the star rating up are very suspicious and counter the complaints of the lower star folks. It boggle my mind that the South Academy Location ratings outperform their Northern Academy location where the folks seem far more organized, efficient and dutiful.

I had a great experience. Christmas eve my battery died. Fortunately Pep Boys was still open so after getting a jump we headed over. They helped me find a battery and went over the warranty option that came with it as well as explaining the other questions I had. They also put up with my stupid jokes and shared a few of their own. Then they put the battery in for me and took care of the old one. Overall they took a situation that had been really stressful for me and made it a pretty good experience.

Went to get studded tires and they forgot to STUDD the tires! Brought it back to get it done and it took four hours to do it. I gave it one star because the sales lady was nice and tried to be helpful.

Never go here!! I brought three trucks in for servicing via appointment - all three in the same day. First was the Chevy 2500. I brought it in because it was pulling to the right. When I picked it up and drove it around the block it was now pulling to the left way worst than it was to the right before. Second, was the F150. I brought it in for a routine alignment and a service check. (knowing that the brake calibers were touching the rotors). When I picked it up They said everything was good to go. What? I drove it around the block and the it was still all over the road, so I took it back to them. Without a question they took it back right away. This is a good indication that they didn't even touch it. Third, was the F350. I brought it in for them to switch out the old tires with the new ones I bought about a week ago. When I got it home the tires didn't look right so I checked the air pressure. As I attempted to check the pressure I noticed the hub caps where installed incorrectly. None of them were lined up with the valve stems. They where beat on and unaligned causing damage to my valve stems. I pried them off and checked the air pressure. The pressures read 34, 42, 51, and 55. They couldn't even get air pressure right?? I put them all to 50 psi and aligned the hubcaps and everything is going great.

Great customer service. Was asked what I needed and was given solid advice. Company has super serious go fast parts as well, from custom seats to AIN fittings. Looks like motor mounts and sway bar bushings would be easy to find.
