The Pet Shop Boys is an exciting new luxury boutique, spa and daycare for dogs in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Christopher Steele and David Rogowski are the Shop Boys behind this fabulous new venture at 15th and Cambie. The 1450 square foot space includes a boutique that showcases Manfred of Sweden doggy fashions, Une Vie de Chateau luxury French antique dog beds, fashionable home throws and doggy pillows by California company Crypton, Italian furniture, DoggiDog custom collars from Paris, Petit Four Legs delicious gourmet dog treats, Aroma Paws natural & organic pet grooming products, Lampe Berger fragrance lamps and much more.

Complete with doggy crystal chandeliers and reproduction white vintage French furniture, the cosmopolitan boutique is a beautiful space filled with light and gorgeous products.

Our puppy has been attending this daycare weekly for a few months now and we have been very impressed by their quality of care and service. The puppy loves it there (his tail starts quickly wagging in the parking lot) and we are always warmly greeted during drop off and pickup. The staff, who are very knowledgeable and have great credentials, have been great about answering our all of our new puppy questions. We love that they add some training into the day instead of it being a doggy free-for-all. 

One thing to note: although they are labeled as a "Pet Supply Store" they carry very few pet supplies - just some super schmancy ones.

Something happened to my dog while being groomed at Pet Shop Boys. There is a high-end vibe to this place, which is what encouraged me to try it in the first place. My dog was always so great with getting groomed prior to this. When I went to pick up my dog, they were not yet ready. They said they needed extra time as she is a 'challenging dog'. No problem, I said I would wait outside. My poor dog was so eager to get out of there when they were finished. I could see that she was visibly stressed. Ever since that experience, now anytime I bring her to any groomer, she cries and shakes. She never did this before! Not only that, but they cut her on her belly and didn't tell me, as she had a scab there afterwards. It is quite disheartening to not know what kind of trauma she was exposed to that made her so extremely scared of being groomed from that point forward.

David and his team do a great job on our Old English Sheepdog! People always comment on the streets on what a great haircut he has!

I went there to purchase Lamp Berger scents that I couldn't find other places. They have a great selection and the staff was friendly. I can't say much about the dog side of things but the dogs I saw there looked well looked after. I'll be back for more scents for the Lamp Berger for sure!
