This yarn shop has become my LYS.  I've been there many times and the staff is always helpful and friendly.  They have a good selection of beautiful and reasonably-priced yarn as well as needles and findings.  They also offer a wide variety of classes.  The whole shop exudes warmth and cameraderie and is welcoming to beginning knitters as well as more experienced ones.

Really nice staff, I think it was the owner, very helpful and not trying to sell me the most expensive stuff. She made the effort to find yarn that more affordable in the weight and color I needed. I really appreciated that. More fingering weight wool blends would make me a regular customer. The selection of tools was great with some tools I never knew I needed for a good price. The store isn't big enough to stock yarns for everyone who comes in but I can't deduct a star for lack of square feet. Full 5 for service and enthusiasm.

Wonderful place to go for fine yarn, help with knitting crocheting and mending your items, and fantastic comradery! I might add the owners and staff are fantastic people, too.

This store has beautiful yarn, but more important - they were so helpful when I called in to get help with a knitting stitch that I could not figure out. They simply happily worked it out with me on the phone.

I visited the store on a Friday around noon hoping to find some thicker yarn to try arm knitting. When I entered the store, the bells hanging on the door jingled. Two women were chatting by the entrance and one of them seemed to be the store proprietor. Neither acknowledged my presence. I took a slow, deliberate walk around the store to look at the inventory and give the two a chance to finish up so I could ask the store clerk about the thicker yarns. I kept looking toward them to catch their eye but it was like I was a ghost to them. They even walked by close to me at one point but still no eye contact or even a "hello." Finally, I was done looking through the whole store. I walked by them again, no acknowledgement, so I kept walking and out the door. It is weird to go to a store and be so blatantly ignored like that. 3 stars for their selection of yarn and 0 for service/friendliness. It's too bad. I wanted to support a small local business.
