I came in for a membership here in November. They decide $20/mo Black Card would be best so I signed up. I shortly realized after that they close at 7pm?? I was used to the other locations being open later. I tried canceling right after this but they don't allow you to cancel over the phone. So for 4 months my card has now been charged a total of $196.72 (not including the $50 overdraft fee I got from their random additional $41.68 charge right after I signed up). So this averages roughly $50/month to a gym I have not once been able to use because of their limited hours and inability to cancel unless you come in. Since they don't allow you to call in or cancel online, I took time to go into their location. I spoke with their front desk person expressing my concern that I have not once been into the gym because they close at 7pm, which isn't possible with my schedule having a child. They told me that in order to cancel, I now have to pay an ADDITIONAL $61.98 to make them stop charging my card every month. This is now $246.78 out of my account for a gym membership I was never able to use. I would highly recommend going to a gym that works WITH you as a customer, rather than charging unexplained additional fees, and also charging you three times more, to stop being charged monthly. WHAT A JOKE.

I was thrilled to sign up for the $1 down and $10 per month rate at the Downtown club. However, I was not thrilled to find out that they then charge $3 per for parking. That $10 membership quickly becomes a $50 membership by just attending 3x per week. This was not noted online anywhere—I felt very deceived.

Very disappointed in their staff and customer service. My wife and I worked out here for nearly a year until I got military orders to move, we didn't have time to cancel before leaving because I had to leave on such short notice. We called to cancel and they said to email their manager our information, but 3 months later we realized they were still charging us. When we called again to ask why, they rudely blamed us for assuming they would cancel it just because we sent them an email, even though that is what we were instructed to do. Finally my wife had to fly back to cancel it and when she went in, their internet was down, so instead of taking down her info and helping us out they told her that her only option was to come back later and hopefully the internet would be working then. I hope they don't treat all their customers like this, especially ones who are canceling for reasons beyond their control, such as military service.

DON'T SIGN UP IF YOU DRIVE TO THE GYM!! $75-150 IN PARKING FEES!! Can't really say what the inside of the gym is like I've never made it in. I signed up for a gym membership online and when I went to visit the downtown salt lake location there was no parking I called and asked where their parking lot is they said there is none it's all public paid parking. The closest lot is $3 an hour. They don't validate unless you're a black card member. For that money sign up for 24 hour or orangetheory. I guess I'm going back to vasa. Trying to get a refund but HQ is difficult to get a hold of they might get an extra star or two if they can own up to this and give me a refund.

Good location. No pressure. Very easy access If you take Trax. Someone mentioned they charge for parking. Well, they don't. Its called being in a big city with the grown ups. Leave your car in the 'burbs and commute. Salt lake city has great public transit. If more of us used it we wouldn't have so much pollution
