Story

Our mission is to help provide our guests and friends the best experience possible during their stay with us.

Our location is close to everything. We are nestled in Carrizo Canyon with Carrizo Creek running thru us and the National Forest adjoins us for walking and hiking. And, don't forget to bring the kids' bikes. Our cabins are charming and kept very clean. We welcome you to your home away from home.

Our History and Origin

Locals will tell you all about their memories of Rainbow Lake as far back as the 1950's. We hear stories from our guests about their visits to Rainbow Lake in Ruidoso, NM. They usually go like this ...when they were little kids their parents used to take them to go fishing in our trout ponds. Currently, we don't allow fishing ... at the moment ... but we still love to hear the stories. Today, you can come and feed our Rainbow Trouts in our feeding pond and bring your family for the next generation to tell us their stories about visiting Rainbow Lake!

Wonderful RV spot with beautiful campsites. Camp staff and front desk were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. They took us in last minute, got us set up post-haste, and they were the most budget friendly in the area. Over all best bang for you buck. I highly recommend this place.

Love this place. One of the best camp sites f9r the best prices around. Has full electric hook ups for 110, 30A and 50A. Sewage hook up, water, free wifi, and cable. The place is huge and offers cabins if you need it. Spacious parking for large RVs and has its one little creek with a fountain. They offer a bathroom with showers and a laundry mat. The staff are extreamlu nice and professional. They offer a store, it is minimal at best, and the restaurant is closed down. But it is so close to town, restaurants, and stores its definitely not a minus. The place is about a mile down the road from the Inn of the Mountain Gods if ypu are a gamble or want somewhere to go and find entertainment. This place is highly recommended. Best $29 spent.

We just enjoyed our family reunion at Rainbow Lakes and were very pleased. We had family in 12 cabins of various sizes and use of the meeting space and kitchen (above the office). It was perfect for older family members who have trouble getting around. The staff was incredibly kind and very hard working. Yes, it can be close quarters when the RV spaces are full and the cabins are small but we found the nights to be very quiet and the setting was convenient to all the activities we wanted to get to during our stay.

Drove around to check out all of us spots to park our RV and was not very impressed. We aren't very picky but it just didn't have any appeal to us. Maybe in the future when we want to stay right in Ruidoso near the end of the Inn of the Mountain Gods we will consider staying there because of the proximity only. I can only see us being there for maybe one two three days at the most.

My Wife and I stayed here one night to break up the drive from Phoenix to Dallas and it was the most delightful place to stay. We stayed in one of the cabins it was perfect. The cabin was clean and well maintained. The RV park staff was amazing, they took care of my every need and had great recommendations of what to do while in town for the day. The park was so peaceful and watching the water flow by and hearing it babbling along down the mountain was an amazing experience. I will be staying here in the future hands down the best park in the area.
