Aside from challenging parking, which is no worse than anything else in the area, this Ralph's offers a large selection across the board, and is kept in generally good condition. They tend to be fairly busy, but are good about keeping lines moving and employees have been pleasant and professional in my experience. No major complaints in any area.

This is MY Ralph's. We live an equal distance to this Ralph's and the one on Sunset, but I prefer the La Brea Ralph's. The staff is friendly, helpful, & informative. For example, I learned in their produce department that there are male & female bell peppers. The males have three prongs at the bottom & the female, four. Females are said to be sweeter.

There are always homeless people hanging round and about this mart, maybe some drug addicts too, but they have never bothered me. I've never been here after dark, I don't think I would feel safe. Carts are located outside the entrance, but you have to go to the express checkouts for a basket, if it's busy you collide with those exiting the checkouts. Why they don't move the baskets to a place inside the door is beyond me. The door btw is too small for both customers going into and exiting the store - I presume this is to combat shoplifting. Most groceries are expensive here unless you have a Ralph's clubcard. Scan your card at the checkout to get cheaper prices on most items. Cards can be obtained from the checkout at no charge. You can also add additional coupons to your card online at their website. Tinned beans are the best value in the area though, it's all about shopping around at different markets to find the best value. Staff are friendly here, but it is generally hard to find a member of staff on the actual shop floor. One time I had to ask at the help desk to find an item I wanted because I literally could not find anyone on the shop floor to help me. Fruit is expensive here, even with the clubcard. Some items like certain types of coffee are locked away near the help desk, just ask your cashier for it before you pay. This is another sign that shoplifting is prevalent in this store.
