I had a really positive experience here. I met up with some college friends and it was dark, I had to use the over flow parking but they had a great attendant there who walked me from my car to the restaurant. There was a small wait but not bad. Our server was fun and helpful. I was worried the food wouldn't live up to the hype but it was actually quite good. Only downside was that tamales are only served on weekends and I was there on a Thursday.

Mango enchiladas are so very good. Chips and queso are delicious. Everything is done well. Five of us ate for $100 (no drinks and that includes the tip). The only thing we don't like is the wait to get seated. They do reservations only if you have six or more in your party. They are always busy. Our wait on Saturday at 7:30 was about 40 minutes, but that's because the colder weather makes it so that fewer people are willing to wait outside to be seated. The inside waiting area is limited.

We have been to their original location a couple blocks away and the food here was just as delicious. Great service and fair prices. Best Mexican food in town in my opinion. Parking is a little limited but we were able to find a spot. Definitely a favorite place to eat and bring others

The Red Iguana 2 is my favorite Mexican restaurant, I prefer it over the original, not because the food is different both have amazing food. I really like the atmosphere much more than the original. It's better for large groups. Whenever I have friends from out of town, I make sure they get a chance to eat Red Iguana and sample all of their delicious Moles.

Same amazing flavors of the original Red Iguana, but usually with less of a wait. Both restaurants can get crazy busy at peak times, so plan ahead if you don't like to wait. But if you do end up waiting, it's still worth it. Ask for the sampler to try the variety of mole sauces - all of them are incredible.
