This has got to be the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been. Despite the size of the place or having to wait outside for a short time, this place was worth every minute. Fresh food, ingredients and amazing prep. The flavors were just to die for. I would go again and again. Not to mention it was reasonable with its pricing as well.

The Red Iguana lives up to the hype from the hole in the wall atmosphere to the wait times to the quality of the food. Besides having a large menu, Red Iguana's dishes are unique enough to make this a better Mexican meal than most. I opted for the combo platter and was pleased with the variety of my selection. My meal mate got a pumpkin seed mole. Try finding something like that at Tony's Taco Heaven (I hope there isn't a place with that name). Anyway, good stuff but plan to wait for a while.

If you like mole, they've got seven different kinds. If you like traditional Mexican fare, they've got great food. If you like twists on traditional dishes, they've got those too. Desserts? Scrumptious. Refill on chips and salsa quick, always had my water topped off. It's a cramped environment, but when you've been in the same building for 30 years, it tends to get that way Just make sure to lock your car! ;)

The restaurant was highly recommended for authentic Mexican food. However, I have had much better with smaller, family run restaurants. I could not help but feel the menu was not adventurous and the meals - while certainly a cut above many westernized Mexican restaurants - were pedestrian. The highlights of my meal was the margarita, and the hot sauces, which were all beautifully complex in their own ways. Was the 40 min wait to get into the restaurant worth it? Yes. But only just.

Dazzling space composed of cozy rooms, providing an intimate feeling and arousing visual interest among the various colors and themes throughout the restaurant. The food was among the best Mexican food I've tasted in a while, comprising perfectly flavored and cooked steak, freshly fell from the bone shredded pork, and divinely caramelised fried ice cream. Service was attentive but sometimes slow to keep up with intense customer traffic. Overall, one of the best Mexican restaurant experiences I've had in a long time! ❤️
